Smoke was rising from the two cars that had collided in the middle of the road. Traffic was at a standstill, with people shouting at the "idiots" who had gotten into an accident. Insults fueled by selfishness and apathy were hurled at the two injured drivers.
"Learn to drive!"
"A little early to be drinking...and driving!"
"He better not get his license back."
But in the angry and backed up crowd of cars, one little girl looked Sat her father. "How can they say such mean things when they're hurt?"
Alex Rivers shook his head. "They just aren't thinking about how other people feel right now. Let's go help."
Charity and her dad got out of the car and ran up to the wreckage. The first driver was bleeding from the forehead. He was having a hard time focusing through the pain.
"Please, sir, you have to get me to the hospital."
Charity touched his bloody hand and they both glowed with white light. In just a few seconds, the man's wounds had all disappeared. He forced open the door to his car and got out, moving with strength and energy.
"I...I can't believe it. You healed me, little girl."
Alex beamed with pride at his daughter. "She is very special."
Charity walked over to the other car. The driver had already gotten out of his car and was curled up on the road.
"It hurts! It hurts so much!"
"Let me help you," Charity said. She touched his jacket and his body was healed. All the pierced and bruises muscles were restored.
"It doesn't hurt anymore. Thank you. Thank you little lady!"
