Hero Team: The Cryptic Message (Dar/Ask)

On your average run of a mill nothing typically happening day heroes were moving under the scenes… for the most part, to head to join one another in the attempts of becoming a team together. All being brought together by equally rather shady messages of varying kinds by one mystery girl who at this point only had one more person to talk with and see if he was in and out before she had to race to get dressed fully and race down to the docks to get the last part set up for the team before they would all arrive.

The man in mind was someone who didn’t have any powers but had a lot of gadgets and skills and years of experience making him a potentially great leader for the others due to being a genuine badass. The man soon enough getting a text from the number (914) 737-9938: that if texted would seemingly get the message but if called it would direct him to a prerecorded message that would say “This a CPTA announcement test. Uh, I don’t know what it’s supposed to say; I’m not that concerned with it. So if anyone gets this just just disregard it, k, and hang up.”.

The text he would receive though would be the following. “Dear Mr. Pacific, I'm sure you're likely past experiences tell you not to reply to the random shady number but based on the fact most others so far have just accepted the shady invite I feel like precautions to looking shady isn’t as needed anymore at this point. Anyways I have heard much of what you can do and I am forming a team of local heroes to keep Jump City above float while the titans are away. I feel like you would be a great addition to the group and could help the others greatly in many different ways. If you are interested please text me back to let me know if you are and I will send you the proper address and time in which you should show up to meet the others. Thank you for your time

Mr Pacific? Lewis didn't know he was popular enough to draw any attention. This mysterious stranger even knew his moniker.

Shady was a relative term. There was a lot that Pacific did that most people would consider shady, but he did it all with good intention.

Pacific texted back. "I like the idea of a team, and I'm definitely interested. Where can I meet you?"

Ittrab? And odd name. What did it mean? He wasn't sure. He knew he couldn't trust this stranger, yet. He rarely trusted anyone.

But people were useful.

Finishing her video conversation and 2 of her text based ones the girl had put on the base parts of her costume she had in her back pack and was now pulling on her arm armor and sleeve as she saw that the highly skilled Mr. Pacific had replied. Reading his reply she pulled on her boots hooking them in place by the knee pads and then pulled her gloves on completing her costume as she typed and pushed her energy through her hair turning it light blue.

"Good to see you on board. Here's the address and time to meet, try to be there before the sun totally sets and you should find the address by the docks. Do you have any questions before I leave you to your business?" She wrote as she looked to the hero girls reply, she just had to now finish things with the girl and the ninja tropical shirt man and she would be able to move to the next part.

"No questions," Pacific replied.

He did have questions. Lots of questions, but that's what this meeting was for.

Pacific opened his car door and grabbed the pizza bag next to him. He lived off of tips, so he couldn't afford to appear lazy.

A few hours later, after he was off the clock, he drove out to the docks. He changed into his costume in his car, arming himself with his usual weapons.

He took a deep breath. He wanted to believe this mysterious person, but it could also be a trap. He had made a lot of enemies in the last few months. In truth, his identity wouldn't be that hard to crack. What kept the wolves at bay was the threat of being hit with a big stick, over and over again.

But some animals were too foolish to fear.

Pacific shook his head. It was time to go. He walked to the address his host had sent him, and waited.
