January 1st.
Jump City
 2 AM.

A lone figured dashed across the many rooftops of jump city. The city was sleeping, having just crashed from all the hard partying of new years eve. He had 5 targets he had to visit. 5 targets. 5 invitations. First up was the Noble Household. A wealthy family that had recently moved to Jump City. And the heir to the family, Joshua, moonlighted as an avian hero, striking harts into criminals as he descended on them from above. Boy was that familiar. Seaking past the security systems in place was childsplay. As the figure approached Joshua's window, he pulled out a small item with a note attached to it, and stuck it on.

"One down. 5 more on my end..." He whispered to himself.

Next up was Harmon Tessain. Hotwire. A technological wizard in an almost literal sense. Making machines bend to his will with a wave of his hand. Tracking down that kind of power wasn't particularly hard either. In fact, this guy had made a point of creating a small network with a couple other heroes that some of these invitations were going out to. The note was left taped to his window in a similar manner.

3rd on the list came a juggernaut. Lukas Seigfried Reinhardt. Riot. The construction of his power suit was something quite impressive. He had shown himself to be a real do-gooder. And with the kind of power he had behind him, he was also certainly capable of enforcing that law on pretty much anyone he wanted. But for all of Reinhardt's technical skills, his whereabouts came to light pretty quickly considering the power drain the maintenance of such a suit would require. The next time Lucas went to check on his suit, he'd see a nifty little note attached to the helmet.

Jennifer Necowl. A mysterious girl with mysterious powers. That was about all that could be said about her. At least officially. This girls digital trail was certainly a hard one to pin down. Just like the other heroes who his behind the veil of technological might. But just like them, she was still tracked down, and the note left, ready for her. The fun thing about paper notes. No code to follow back to the source.

Finally came Wildfire. A'londr. A Royal Tamaranian. Small little universe wasn't it? With an energy signature like a tameranians, his location was pinpointed before the night had even begun. Whatever quiet little place Wildfire had decided to make home, it would find itself with a just as silent visitor, leaving his last missive for the evening.

January 1st.
Jump City
 5 AM.

It took up the later half of the night, but it was done. The invitations had been sent, and if all went well, a new team would soon come together.

"If they can pass the test..." The lone figure said, his yellow and black cape lightly rippling in the cold winter air.

Upon recieving their notes, the chosen few would find a most... interesting invitation. After being adressed by their various heroic identitites... it would begin.

We have been keeping watch over your activities for the past couple months. We are impressed, and think you might just have what it takes to help defend this city from any threat it may come across. Now no hero can do it alone. That's why there's going to be a team. A new Teen Titans. A new force for Justice. If you want to answer the call, be at the Harris Wharf at 8 PM tonight. We hope to see you there.

- Robin

Jenny bounced and took a step back with one foot sliding the other to the one she stepped back with then did the same with the other foot as she out stretched her hands and brought one closer to her chest then the other as she sang out to a song swishing her hips before outstretching her hands together and spread out her fingers as she finished outstretching her hands fully. she tilted her head to one side closing her eyes as she held out beautifully a high note with ease for a very long time.

Before the rather classical music turned into metal like music where she then started to wildly head bang before her music was turned off making her pause mid head bang and perched her lips a bit as she looked to her mother with innocent eyes as she was glared at by her mother who put a note in her hand. "It was on your window i saw it when i was coming out your room to tell you to go to bed already since i can't sleep with your music blaring...." Jenny then gave a big innocent smile taking the letter.

("Thaaaaaaaanks.... and sorry about the music I'll stop for the night.") Her mother then nodded muttering as she turned to leave. "Next time I ground her i need to ban her off of late night music time tooo...." Her mother was certainly glad that after tonight Jenny would be out on the streets rather then keeping her and her husband up all night. She walked off as Jenny plopped down on the couch in her boxers and tank top as she opened up the letter seeing that it was in english.

She blinked before growing a wide straight mouth as she slowly reached behind her grabbing her phone and took a pic of it sending it to her cousin who very quickly send a version of it in Japanese to her. "Thanks girlie." She texted and got a "Congrats and good luck." back which made her blink before looking to the translated version and read through it. She muttered the location name before running upstairs and plopped on her bed looking up directions before plugging in her mask and uploaded it to her mask and went right to bed after leaving a note for her mother and set her alarm.

When she got up she excitedly turned it off but fell out of bed in the process and raced down stairs to get food that her mother was preparing. "So you're joining a team....?" Jenny nodded to her father as she stuffed her mouth. "May i see the letter out of curiosity? " She nodded again handing it to him. He read through it and smirked. "Jenny why do you think that this leader would have you needing to get up so early to meet him when you could have slept in late before even seeing this?"

"I know in the note you left your mother you said to wake you up at 7 if you weren't up early enough." He asked as her mother gave him his breakfast and a light kiss. She read the note and smirked seeing where he was going with this. "Dunno its weird but I gotta be there in time!" He sipped his coffee and nodded slowly as he looked down to his newspaper pointing at the pm on the note.

"It's 8 pm not am.... You should work on your english more dear." Her mother started cracking up as jenny froze before lowering her head and cursing under her breath and got back up. "I'm going back to bed..." They both then said together "Sleep well dear!" Jenny then sulked back upstairs and went back to bed. Later that day she then got ready this time on time and went to the area. She floated over on her hover boots and turned them off and casually walked to a stop as she looked around trying to spot the others.

As sunlight streamed through his window, Joshua slowly began to wake up. "Mmm...must've forgotten to close the curtains last night..." he muttered to himself as he transitioned into consciousness with a large yawn. "Then again maybe I didn't...it was a late night..." Even though they had only recently moved to Jump, the Noble family already had a close group of coworkers and acquaintances, and thus once again hosted their traditional New Year's celebration - which of course meant Josh was expected to entertain both the younger children with games and the adults with music. Hopefully someday I'll be free from all of that. The teen rolled out of his bed and over to the window, where he was about to draw the curtain before a piece of paper caught his eye.

Well now, how did that get there...? the hero thought as he opened the window to retrieve the note. The security system would've caught anyone coming even a little too close to the building, but I didn't hear any alarms... Joshua looked over the note, quickly focusing on it as he discovered that it was addressed to his alter-ego. Once he had finished reading the note, he grinned with excitement and satisfaction. Well isn't that something. If this really is from who it says, then that means...now this is just too cool. Angel quickly looked over the note again, gathering all of the important details. 8, huh? Of course they wait until night. How am I supposed to focus on anything else for the rest of the day? The teen glanced towards his closet. There were a few things he could do to prepare, and one of them involved his shipment that had come in just days ago...

As night rolled around, Angel soared through the air, a new white mask covering his entire face, save for the eyes. He had already written a note to his parents (who had been absent for most of the day yet again) explaining that he would be spending the night at a school friend's house. Who knows how long this will last? If it really is for real... the teen thought. As the day had gone on, he considered more and more readily the chance that this was just some kid's prank or something more sinister. Still, it was too big of an opportunity to just not show up. As the teen glided over the Wharf, he spotted a familiar figure looking around. Smirking, the hero angled himself downward and dove towards Blue, spreading his wings to slow himself and land gently in front of her at the end of his descent. "Hiya Blue. What brings you to these parts? Did a little bird leave you a message as well?" the teen asked. As he spoke, he took a couple seconds to compose himself, dematerializing his wings and setting up his lowest-level shield. While Blue's presence made him feel more comfortable, Josh was still on alert in case anything unexpected rose up.

PostSubject: Re: Start of a new Legacy (Invitation Only)   Sat Dec 31, 2016 11:19 am

Finding a home on a new planet was not an easy task. This was such a big city and there were so many places where one could reside in. Whether it be in an alleyway or a building, there was always a possibility of living somewhere. Due to displaying heroics in dealing with a foe in the past, and the locals of Jump City knowing that Alond'r was foreign to the planet, word traveled around. Eventually it reached a landlord of a series of mid-class apartment buildings, who gratefully gave one to him free of charge, as long as he continued in helping protect the city from evil. Of course, after he was granted a home, it took about half a hour to explain the mechanics of the apartment, as well as appliances, and anything else that he didn't know. After the lesson, he was fairly knowledgeable in what exactly did what, as well as how certain things functioned.

The fridge of the place already had some food and water inside, contributed by those who were appreciative of the hero, as well as the landlord himself. It wasn't the most luxurious place to live in the city, but it was definitely better than living outside. He was grateful for anything he could receive, since it didn't seem like a popular concept to help such a foreign person. The bed was different -- he was accustomed to the unique platforms he would rest on, on different planets and all. It was interesting to feel the mattress sinking as his frame settled into it. Or to have a window in the wall right next to his bed, giving him an alright view of the buildings across from him. The places on Earth were so different and special in their own way -- it would certainly take some time to get used to it.

When Alond'r woke up, a little note sat on the small, circular table next to his bed. He swung his legs to the floor, rubbing his eyes as a yawn ran past his lips. According to the note, someone had been keeping an eye on him. Maybe he was even an ideal fit for a team. This seemed a lot similar to the networking organization he was involved in with Hotwire, Noble, and all of the others. As another yawn escaped his mouth, he put the note down and went to prepare himself for the day. Time went relatively quick as he'd spent the most of his day assisting people wherever he could, as well as learning a bit more about Earth's culture. Then he would be able to understand the way things operated, more on a human-like level. Night approached fairly quickly, the time for the meeting just a few minutes away.

Wildfire had been in the sky, searching for something that looked like what a "wharf" would. However, he could sight of someone that he hadn't seen in a while. The angel-like figure who soared the skies -- Noble. Maybe he was there for the meeting as well? He tailed Noble, the breeze ruffling his scarlet hair. The Tamaranean descended from the air, gently touching down at Harris Wharf. There was another person there too; the blue-haired comrade who he'd fought alongside was present. "Hello again, Blue Blast and Noble."

Left. Right. Left. Right. Left. Left. Right. Left. Right. Left. Right. Left. Left. Right. Lukas repeated the pattern in his head like an endless mantra as he pummeled the bag before him. Sweat dripped from his shirtless body as he ground his teeth. He couldn't train his legs, there was no amount of kicking that could improve the hydraulics and fiber bundles that gave them movement, or rather merely dragged them along. So he trained his upper body twice as hard, and each extra second was a reminder of his condition.

Broken. Useless. A waste. Not a real person. Pitiful. Like wraiths within his mind, the words echoed with each blow against the punching bag. His anger a day frustration only pushed him to hit harder. He stepped forward as he turned his body and planted his left shoulder into the bag as he slammed his left forearm into it with enough force to push the bag slightly into the air. Within the space of a heartbeat it was swinging back down towards him. He stepped into it and delivered a savage straight punch with a roar. The bag swung back violently, nearly becoming perpendicular to the ground. Riot caught the back as it came back, letting his breath out slowly. He closed his eyes and took a long moment to collect himself.

Deep breath. In. Out. In. Out. You are still a person. Riot let go of the bag and turned to face the far end of the room, where his housing unit and wheelchair stood by the elevator. He grabbed the towel he'd laid out for himself and strode over, wiping the sweat from himself along the way. He climbed into the housing unit and powered down his training exosuit, undoing the clasps and straps that held him in place. He leaned forward and let gravity take him to the pole mounted on the front of the housing unit, using it to shimmy himself sideways to his chair. A few more minutes spent strapping himself into his next prison, and he was ready to enter the elevator.

He sighed with relief as the elevator descended into the cool darkness of his workshop. He slid the gate aside and wheeled himself into the only place he knew comfort. That comfort, sadly, was short lived ad always. A looming figure dominated the far side, oppressing in its bulk and stature. Riot. Lukas glared at the suit.

That suit was the reason he'd been born. That suit dictated his life. That suit was an entity unto itself, one that imposed its iron will on all who met its gaze. Lukas shuddered involuntarily. Every time he looked at that suit he was reminded just how broken and weak he was before it. But at the same time, he was reminded of the sheer power he felt every time he stood with legs of titanium. Every time his will was an unbreakable bulwark. Every time he soared on wings of fire. Every time he looked into that visor he couldn't help but wonder if he was akin to Icarus, and one day he would burn as he flew too close to sun.

He shook his head, trying to clear it. He was tired of his own thoughts plaguing his mind and wished to seek refuge in his work. Ah he wheeled himself over to his workstation, he couldn't help but spare the hulking suit one last glance. [/i]Wait. Something isn't right.[/i] There was a piece of paper stuck to the helmet of the suit. He frowned. No intruder left a note. This was something else. He pushed himself over to the suit and reached up, momentarily straining to reach the note. His jaw opened slightly as he read what it said. This was something serious. A chance to be a part of something so much larger than himself. He checked the time. 0527. He had some time. Enough to get some rest and then rethink his security system. Robin was a legend, but the fact that he had gotten in undetected meant that Lukas was doing something wrong. After all, he'd taken great pains to hide who he was, and if Robin could find him, so could someone worse.

Riot counted the minutes as he waited. He pulled up the time on his display. 1958. It was almost time. He'd arrived early, more out of suspension than promptness. This was almost too good to be true. He'd recently nearly been killed by some whack job who seemed to have a bizarre obsession with him. It had taken his full strength plus two others to bring the madman down, but they'd failed to capture him. The villain was still at large, and from what Riot could tell, he was extremely intelligent. It made logical sense to lead him and who knew who else into a trap to take them out in one fell swoop while their guard was down. Either way, Riot wanted nothing more than to be here. If it was the real deal, there was no way he was going to pass up the opportunity. If it was a trap, he would spring it and capture the one responsible before they wreaked anymore havoc on the city.

He was currently kneeling on a roof some distance away. He could see the area, but not clearly, as he'd been forced to keep his distance to avoid being spotted himself. He'd come to hover on the opposite side of the building earlier that evening, and had cut his thrusters after giving himself just enough lift to pull himself up onto the roof and into a crouched position. He'd kept low and used a large tarp to cover himself not unlike a cloak, so that his reflective armor wouldn't give him away in the night.

He'd remained crouched the whole way across the roof, and knelt at the corner facing the Ferris Wheel. With any luck  he'd look like just another air conditioning unit or one of the other countless pieces of machinery covering the seemingly endless roofs of the city. He watched as three others arrived, but at this range he couldn't tell who they were. At least not for sure. Wildfire was a pretty unique figure, and Riot was almost positive he saw him landing near the other two. He couldn't be sure, but none of them looked hostile towards each other. In fact, it seemed the opposite. But he couldn't be certain. He sighed. He really needed to finish his work on a worthwhile zoom feature for his helmet. Nothing he could do about it now.

He shrugged off the tarp. Now was the time to make himself known, for better or worse. Rather than make a scene roaring into the sky, he leaned forward until gravity ran its course and he pitched forward from the roof and began plummeting toward the ground below. Halfway to the earth, he fired his thrusters and pulled up, pulling himself out of the nosedive with mere meters to spare. He curved up slightly before forming a graceful parabola terminating a few meters from the clustered group of heroes. In a display that was the complete opposite of his usual ground shaking entrance, he transitioned smoothly from gliding toward the ground walking toward the group. He recognized Wildfire and Blue Blast, both of which he'd fought with before. He would likely be dead if it weren't for them, and he greeted them as warmly as the harsh, loud, mechanical voice of his suit would allow.

BLUE BLAST. WILDFIRE. IT IS GOOD TO SEE YOU BOTH ONCE MORE.” There was another hero whom he didn't recognize, so he acknowledged him with a slow nod of his head. He looked over the other heroes, as if inspecting each of them. After a moment he spoke again. “I PRESUME EACH OF YOU RECEIVED THE SAME NOTE I DID? He looked over Blue Blast again. It seemed her arm had healed in record time. Either she had a healing factor, or she had some other method of rapid healing, or his theory was correct, and he could help others heal more quickly just as he did, simply through proximity. Or he was just massively over thinking it. He had no idea how long her arm had been broken for. He filed that away for now. No need to discuss it now.

"And me as well." Another voice sounded. Rappelling down off one of the buildings along the dock came Hotwire. "Riot. Angel. Wildfire. Nice to see you all again." He said before pointing at the girl. "Now I don't know about you..."

He put his hand to his chin. "Anyways. When I got here, I figured I'd do some recon. Just in case this turned out to be some kind of trap. And still, even if it is a trap, having you guys here gives us a better chance." He noted.

"Then it's a good thing it's not a trap." A sixth voice called from the shadows. And then he was there. Robin. With bright red and yellow, you'd think he'd have stuck out more. But no, he came right out of nowhere, and was now standing right behind Hotwire. How had he even gotten there?

"ACK!" Hotwire recoiled. "Don't... DON'T DO THAT!"

Jenny blinked hearing a familiar voice and looked over to see angel smiling brightly under her mask and waved to him. "(Hey man! Looks like you finally upgraded your mask to a totally shady looking one that will keep you totally hidden identity wise but ruin any stealth you'll ever need if a light hits you right!)" She said happily but totally teasing him.... for the most part....

She then flashed the letter to him "(Sure did! Though... I sorta had to have my cousin translate it for me cause I cant read english all to well yet.)" She said with an awkward laugh and rubbed the back of her head a bit. She then lowered it and saw Wildfire and bounced a bit waving to him as well. "(Dude you're gonna be on the team too!? Man it would be so cool if the entire team was just made up of people I already know! It'll make things so much easier with introductions since none will be needed!)"

She said as a soft glow formed under her visor while she looked totally pumped up. She then heard another voice and looked over to see riot and pointed at him with her previously broken arm. "(And even the power ranger who cant pick one color is here as well!)" She then put her hands on her hips and nodded with closed eyes making the glow stop.

"(Clearly this robin guy knows the perfect set up for a team... he has people who can get in arial attacks and ranged attacks enabling us to get proper cover in the air, while doubling up with people who can take the ground with a tank, and a dps/glass cannon, then having angel and what ever his other powers besides his flight is but his comedic relief surely will be enough to support us if he cant do anything else. Then you have the tank being also a probable master craftsmen... then I!)"

She held up one fist by her face while the other hand stayed on her hip as her hair and glow on her visor glowed brightly like the firey passion she currently held! "(The master hacker and programmer making us able to craft anything we could ever possibly need while the two of us can clearly make a winning plan on the spot setting us perfectly up for things on and off the battle field!? Who else could we need? OUR TEAM SHALL DO THIS CITY TRUE JUSTICE!)"

She declared striking a pose pointing up at the sky as her hair and eye glow hit maximum capacity that nothing could ever burn out! For this was the best team she could ever think of that could ever make up for her last perfect team with her family! She surely could write home poudly about this team for all of her growing to be new best friends were in it and it was a perfect team of 4 so there would be no odd man out eve-

"And me as well"

She heard a voice coming out of no wear making her lights go out glow wise as she was then pointed out by some guy she didnt know but knew everyone else. She then stood up normally and crossed her arms and and looked off a bit as her perfect team had some new guy in it now that made it an odd number and she didnt even know him or what he could do at all.... that and who even wore crazy neon colors like that? .... besides her.....

Seriously orange? What did he have like fire powers or something?..... Okay fire powers would be pretty cool she saw what they can do so if he had fire powers that would totally redeem him and his neon costume that totally wasnt as cool at her neon blue and black costume her sister made for her. "(Well I don't know you either so there....)"

She said still looking off to what would seem like to others but looked over with her eyes either secretively chanting in her head "Please have cool fire powers...." She then blinked and let her hands fall to her sides as she looked over to see the brightly colored new guy..... was that robin? she hadnt really seen any pictures of him before..... yeah he had an r on his chest he was probably robin...

She smirked a bit at Hotwires reaction and laughed a bit before walking right up to robin casually like he was just some random guy. She only partially read about him so there wasnt a whole mer gerd yer rerb bern!!!!(*@&#*(^@!!!!! complex for her. She held a hand out to him giving him a nod.

"(Nice to meet you primary color man! I assume you were the one to call us all down here? Also for future reference I can only really read Japanese and German right now since my mask only translates voices not text.....)" She looked off a bit muttering to herself "(Note to self... work with Usagi to get that programmed in... cause that would help out so much with reading text books for school...)"

Joshua chuckled under his mask at Blue's greeting. "Hiding is the work of assassins. Besides, what better thing for criminals to associate with an Angel than a shining face? Other than the wings of course." he replied with a jovial tone. Shortly after he landed, the two of them were joined by the Tamaranian prince and Riot. "Hello Prince Alond'r. I take it you're adjusting to our planet well enough?" Riot greeted the other two heroes by name, giving Angel a nod which the winged hero returned, albeit with slightly more awe than the robotic face appeared to hold. Wow. That's...quite the machine. I've seen some pictures from the news, but seeing it up close is a whole different story.

Me, Blue, the prince, and Riot. I'm starting to sense a pattern here... the teen watched as Blue expressed her clear excitement, analyzing each of the present member's skills. "I would think that witnessing telekinesis first-hand would be pretty hard to forget." he replied with mock haughtiness when she mentioned whatever his other powers were. As Blue continued her monologue, Angel became lost in his thoughts again. Still, given that the four of us are here, I would have figured that...

Suddenly a voice called down from above, and down came Hotwire. Angel grinned upon seeing the hero. And there we have it. All of the heroes currently in the network. It seems whoever gathered us really has been paying attention. Blue and Hotwire exchanged remarks about not knowing each other, which Angel took as an opportunity. "Hotwire, this is Blue Blast. German/Japanese hero. Blue, Hotwire. He's...the technopath I told you about." Josuha introduced, unsure how well Blue would take finally meeting Hotwire.

Finally, the man of the hour arrived. Or had he been there the whole time? Hotwire obviously hadn't seen him, given his surprise. Joshua couldn't help but chuckle. "You may as well tell the Bat not to lurk in the shadows. It's just their style." The teen joked, but inside he was doing his best to contain himself. After all, this WAS Robin. Blue seemed to have no trouble with composure, walking right up to the hero and offering him a handshake. Angel hung back, watching the interaction intently. As far as he was concerned, the Titan knew enough about the assembled heroes to find each of them, and Josh had done enough research on Jump's heroes to know what he needed to about Robin. Since Robin had been the one to gather them, Angel would wait for him to speak up.

"Yes, I have been in contact with very generous people who have assisted me in settling down. Thank you." Noble and Blue were already in a conversation, so he decided to join in. It wasn't surprising that she decided to indulge in her gamer language. With a laugh and hearty tone, he asked, "Perhaps you could sometime teach me the strategic language you speak, Blue?"

Shortly after he'd arrived, so had his comrade, Riot. A small smile etched into Wildfire's facial expression when he'd seen the male arrive onto the scene. So he had received an invitation to the secret meeting as well; this was certainly getting more and more interesting as time continued passing by. He was relieved to see that Riot was doing alright -- after the battle with their electrical foe, he worried about his comrade's condition. Being able to endure the eye of such a massive electrical disturbance was difficult, and to see someone do that was mind-blowing, but was also worrying. Even though he had a suit, it was metal, and there was no doubt in his mind that it conducted every single volt of that electricity. Such a powerful suit. He was impressed with Riot's ability to create it.

Then, a familiar voice entered the conversation. Soon, a figure came rappelling down from one of the nearby buildings, entering the scene. Was this the mysterious person who'd invited them all here? Suddenly, the figure came into sight, and it wasn't who he was expecting at all. It was actually Hotwire, the technological genius who'd helped him when he first landed on Earth. He nodded his head at his friend, "You as well, Hotwire." He knew everybody here; was this deliberately planned, for these exact people to be together on this very spot, including himself? They were all so different, even though most of them either knew each other, or of one another. Each possessed a different, unique set of skills, that perfectly fit with certain situations. Why were they all suddenly grouped together out of nowhere, and through mysterious means? His mind was at a mile-a-minute, before Hotwire suddenly reacted to a voice that had crept up on him.

In an instant, bright green orbs of energy formed over his hands and his eyes flared up. Wildfire was not used to being frightened, and so he did not react in a very good way when placed in that type of situation. However, when everybody else did not seem to be worried about the new figure, he relaxed, and allowed the energy to fade away into nothingness. Even Blue was going to greet him in a casual manner. So this was the person who had managed to find away into his quarters, and plant a note where he was expected to find it. Hm. He knew nothing of him, so he simply stared in his direction, waiting for him to speak.

As he'd approached, Riot had heard the group talking amongst themselves. What stood out over everything else was Blue Blasts comment on the note. She could speak with perfect English, but couldn't read it? That wasn't unheard of, but it was certainly strange. He thought for a moment on her previous group. He hadn't immediately recognized her due to his only passing familiarity with the trio of superheroes, but it had later dawned on him. However he only really knew a little about their deeds, and nothing about the members themselves. He didn't say anything about his current train of thought but he found himself musing briefly on her suit, particularly her mask.

As she excitedly declared her thoughts on the team he chuckled inwardly. She was certainly an excitable individual. He rose an eyebrow when she mentioned that she was a programmer - it wouldn't be much of a stretch to imagine that she'd programmed some sort of translation software for her mask.

Then Hotwire had entered the scene, voicing his concerns about this being a trap. Riot was glad that someone else shared his concerns. Riot nodded slowly as the young hero spoke. “MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY, HOTWIRE. IF THIS IS A TRAP, THEN IT WAS AN EFFECTIVE ONE. WHAT BETTER WAY TO GATHER US IN ONE PLACE? IT JUST BEGS THE QUESTION: WHO, IF NOT-” Riot’s only apparent reaction to the sudden appearance of the boy wonder was to abruptly stop talking at the sound of the new voice. His suit didn't so much as twitch as his helmet swiveled calmly to face the newcomer. In reality, he'd jumped slightly and swore under his breath. However the bulky and soundproof nature of his suit hid both actions, which he was very thankful for. The last thing he wanted to do was embarrass himself.

He'd watched as Blue strolled up, made a joke, and offered her hand. He allowed himself a small smile when she mentioned that her mask was a translator. Japanese and German was a strange combination, but it made sense considering her previous group. He made a note to himself to do more research later. He had more pressing matters right now. “ROBIN.” In truth, the man within the suit was awestruck. A living legend had called upon him! A living legend was standing right in front of him! He looked around at everyone present and took a deep breath, thankful once more that the bulk of his suit hid his nervousness. He may be in the presence of a legendary hero, but he was nothing to sniff at either. From what he'd seen and heard, none of the heroes gathered here were. They had every reason to stand proud. “YOU'VE PUT FORTH NO SMALL EFFORT TO GATHER US. I PRESUME THERE WILL BE A SIMILAR EXERTION ON OUR PART? IN OTHER WORDS, WE WILL BE TESTED.

Hotwire walked over to Riot and leaned against put his hand against it in order to hold himself up, as he felt his heart pounding in his chest. If he hadn't just been scared half to death, he would be happily enthusing over being in the presence of Robin. Not only was he one of the Founding Teen Titans, he was their leader. He was a living legend.

"Observant." Robin said. "This city needs new Titans. And tonight, you'll all be tested. Together. As a team." He said walking among the 5 of them. "You put together a neat little network, and it's impressive. But if you want to be in the big leagues, you'll want these." He put his hand to his belt and procured 5 Titans Communicators, before holding them up like a poker head showing off his hand. "Pass the test, and they're yours."

He slowly began to walk away from them, before relaying his final instructions. "There are 10 'Hadrotherm Bombs' located throughout the city." He said, making sure to note the bombs in very lighthearted air quotes. "Your job is to figure out where they are, how to neutralize them, and disarm them before they all detonate at noon tomorrow." He said.

He turned to face the group one last time. They would have to work together to make this happen. They would need each others skills, their abilities, their knowledge, to pass the test. Putting his trust in them, he set them on their journey with the two words that rallied the protectors of this city.

"Titans! Go!"

And with that he was gone. Vanished in a puff of smoke.

"How did he-?"

But he didn't even have time to think. On the ground where robin had vanished was a sheet of paper. He quickly picked it up. "Huh. It's a note from robin. Apparently he narrowed down the location of one of the 'bombs'. It's at the Red Cycles Copper Pipe Factory. Guess this is our freebie huh?"

Jenny was about to protest his statement about the assassins when she though about her family and shrugged nodding. "(Okay you got me there, but hey seriously. I'm glad that you were able to get yourself a mask.)" She said supportively with a small laugh. She blinked after she went on about the powers and gave an awkward chuckle rubbing the back of her head. "(Well when you're from where i am and seeing powers everywhere to where its as common as just seeing someones eye color, its sorta hard to remember every  power you come across)" She laughed a bit embarrassedly.

"(Sorry about that man.)" She then looked to Wild when he commented on her gamer language and she nodded rather excitedly. "(The best way to learn that is by playing some video games which I would love to do with you! I haven't had someone to play video games with in months!)"

She was nearly bouncing due to her excitement about the idea. She and her sister used to always play them together every day at least once and when she was gone she got to play with her cousin but only about once every few weeks and since she came down here... well all her friends right now were heroes so it was a bit hard for her to go hey lets hang out and play video games since the only time they normally spoke was between punching villains. Jenny blinked hearing that he was the technopath and she looked off a bit muttering. "(Of course he had to be a technopath....)"

She would never admit it but she was mostly just bummed out that he was a techno path from not only her experiences from them but the thought that one of the few things she could do for the team would be out shined by him. Hotwire and Riot then both agree that it may be a trap and in that moment reminded her of how cautious her cousin always was all the time but before she could stop and think what if Robin showed up. As she waited for a handshake that never came the only thing to confirm who the guy was was the others who commented on him.

She slowly lowered her hand as he just went on to talk back to some others like she wasn't there which made her heart drop a little. Did she do something wrong?  He then just explained the up coming test as Jenny looked off a bit but stayed silent and listened to what their job was. He then left only leaving a note that Hotwire quickly took and read.... well this was going well already.... She  shook her head and bounced a bit repumping herself back up and started muttering to herself thinking.

"(Okay 10 bombs, all hidden, I'm not sure what Hadrotherm is but since one is found and we have the location we can use that to find out how each bomb is made. Hotwire could then pro dice two devices that are able to be used to locate the bombs. we have 3 people who can fly and 2 who can not though 2 flyers can for sure carry the 2 who can not fly. we have two people who can for sure disarm a bomb, and 2 people who should be able to move the bomb without ever needing to touch it if the need arose.)"

"(The two flyers can then carry the two disarmers who would guide them as the flyers transport them to the location. the 3rd flyer who can move the bombs if needed can go with the group who does not have that ability on their own without needing to touch the bomb thus officially making 2 teams that can do what all is needed. each team could do 4 then regroup to take out the last one....)"

She rubbed her chin still lost in thought before shrugging "(Could work in theory....)" She muttered before looking to the other members of the team and rose her hand if in class and... if called on of course she would reply with a "(I think I may have a plan that could work in theory.)"

Under his mask, Angel frowned slightly at Blue's response to meeting Hotwire. Hopefully she'll be able to get over it. If we're going to work as a team, we'll all have to respect each other. The hero continued to watch his allies' reactions to seeing Robin, his thoughts ranging from worry at Wildfire's flaring powers to respect of Riot's apparent professionalism. The more I can learn about these people now, the easier it'll be to trust them all later. The Titan, meanwhile, explained the test that he was presenting the new heroes before calling them to action and disappearing in a puff of smoke.

As the hero vanished, Angel pulled out his phone and checked the time. Just after 8...well, he sure is brief, I'll give him that. That gives us about 16 hours to defuse all of the 'bombs'. Should be plenty of time...in theory. Hotwire approached the piece of paper that had been left behind and read it out to the gathered heroes, while Blue Blast appeared to be lost in thought. "Well it's not like we have much else to go on, so we might as well start there. Sounds like Robin's got quite the fun task laid out for us, it'd be a shame to disappoint him by not even checking the first step." Josh dropped the telekinetic shield he'd had up as he spread his wings. At this point he noticed his friend's raised hand. "Got an idea Blue?" the teen pulled out his phone, showing it to her. "How about briefing us on the way to the factory? We've still got the network, so we'd be able to save some time by talking while travelling." The teen paused for a moment before grinning sheepishly. "So, uh...anyone know which way the factory is? I'm kind of new here..."

The legendary Titan spoke clearly and expressed his points quickly. Ten bombs to find and disarm before the following day, which was when they were scheduled to detonate. Determination appeared in Wildfire's facial expression as Robin suddenly disappeared within a capsule of smoke. His green irises flickered to the rest of the group, examining each individual for a brief moment. This was his team; these were the people who he would have to learn to trust, whose hands he would be able to place his trust in. Before he was able to speak, Blue began spewing a plan from her mind, including key factors such as how some of them were able to fly. It was a pretty logical idea, for the ones who could fly, to carry the ones who lacked that ability. He nodded his head towards his comrade, fully acknowledging her skill in crafting mental plans from nothing.

"I am the same as Noble. I do not know what this 'Red Cycles Copper Pipe Factory' is." Wildfire spoke with his head tilted to the side, big eyes looking towards his teammates for guidance. Although he had been on the Earth for some time, it was not enough for him to fully explore Jump City and know his way around. "Also, if we are unable to fully neutralize a bomb, I am capable of transporting it off of this planet. My kind is able to survive in the vacuum of outer space." He prepared himself for departure, as he waited for everybody to set off.

Beneath his helmet, Riot rose an eyebrow as Robin completely ignored Blue Blast. He figured that the boy wonder was more focused on the test at hand than introductions, but the gesture still seemed a bit much. It was like he didn't want to acknowledge that she was even present. If that was the case, why invite her? On paper he was a legend, but in person Robin was a strange one indeed. He moved those thoughts to the back of his mind as he listened to Blue speak.

I AM NO EXPERT ON PARTICLE PHYSICS, HOWEVER  HADRONS ARE COMPOSITE PARTICLES THAT WILL SEPARATE UNDER ENOUGH HEAT AND PRESSURE. THE RESULTING ENERGY OUTPUT WOULD BE… DEVASTATING. AS SUCH, WE ARE LIKELY LOOKING FOR HIGH LEVELS OF HEAT AND PRESSURE.

The armored hero looked at Blue. “WHILE THEORETICALLY SOUND, YOUR PLAN MAY HAVE A FLAW. DEPENDING ON WHO YOU ARE REFERRING TO AS DISARMERS, YOU ASSUME A TECHNOLOGICAL NATURE. THEY COULD BE PURELY MECHANICAL, WITH LITTLE TO NO ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS. I BELIEVE WE SHOULD LOCATE THE FIRST EXPLOSIVE AND DETERMINE THE BEST WAY TO PROCEED FROM THERE.

After another moment he looked over everyone present and added “THIS IS MEANT TO BE A TEST. ROBIN KNOWS THAT WE CAN USE OUR ABILITIES. THAT IS WHAT GOT US HERE. I WOULD NOT BE SURPRISED IF THE NATURE OF THIS TEST FORCES US OUT OF OUR COMFORT ZONES. WITH THAT SAID, WHILE I DO NOT HAVE A NETWORK CONNECTION, I DO HAVE A MAP DOWNLOADED. I SHOULD BE ABLE TO LOCATE THE BUILDING GIVEN A MOMENT.
