Along came a spider [Fawx]

Fox seemed to panic for a moment when Weaver freaked out about his fox fires. He'd put them out relatively quickly though, but it was obvious he was more distraught with her reaction than to anyone coming to investigate the odd lights.

"I'm sorry! I'll be more careful! I promise." Fox said, quickly apologizing even if he wasn't sure why Weaver was mad. After all she'd asked if he could do other stuff besides turn invisible.

Adriana was calm again after he apologized. "People see lights on in a place where no one is supposed to be, they might come looking. And I don't want to move these again so soon," she sighed, explaining why she was upset. Using her threads to open a vent that she hid the bags into, closing it back up again. She'd come back for those later, and make a nice bit of cash. "Anyway, I'm hungry," she stated flatly. "Let's go get something to eat."

Fox visibly relaxed, even with his mask still on, after Weaver accepted his apology. The last thing he wanted to do was scare away a potential friend. As he listened to her explanation he nodded, guessing that all those shiny objects weren't originally hers. Fox could respect that though, after all if they'd really wanted to keep their shinies then they should have protected them better. As Weaver suggested they find something to eat he nodded happily.

"Okay! I've been really interested to see what others foods I've been missing out on." Fox said, hinting a bit at his past but not really going into detail. If Weaver only knew that his exposure to 'modern' food was sliced turkey sandwiches she probably wouldn't have even believed it.

His response to their getting food did strike her as odd. But she wouldn't think about that now as she calmly walked passed him, gesturing for him to follow her. It would be obvious how they would get down as she attached a wire securely to the window. She made sure to have several more for a mental reassurance, since she knew about how much her wires would be able to take. Adriana would then just drop out of the window, her wires making a twang as she rappelled down from the window to the alley below. The wire would shimmer slightly, not from the lights but from her making sure they stayed sturdy for Fox to climb down.

Fox was about to simply hop his way down to ground level but Weaver provided a more convenient method down for them both. Once she was securely down on the ground he hopped out the window and snagged the wires, spinning around them as he slid down. Thankfully he was wearing gloves, otherwise he might have had a nastier experience... if her strings could also cause rope burn anyway. As it was he was giggling a bit as he landed lightly on the ground next to Weaver.

"That's such a fun power to have." He commented, doing his best to keep his tails from wagging as he'd curled them around his waist to keep them from view.

"It's a very useful, and people are quick to underestimate me as it is. At their own peril," Adriana said casually as she picked a direction and headed that way, walking slowly so Fox could follow her. They would soon arrive at a local convenience store. "Alright, here's the plan. You turn invisible, and grab us some stuff to eat," she suggested simply, not feeling the need for a big meal right now. Just some things to snack on would be fine, plus she wanted to see how compliant Fox would be with this. "And make sure the food is hidden too on your way out," she added, feeling that she shouldn't have to but... just being safer then sorry.

Fox followed along and when Weaver told him to just pilfer some snacks he didn't seem to mind in the least. After all this place looked to have plenty of stuff! He just wasn't sure what would taste good and what wouldn't... so he decided that he'd best load up on as much as he could carry.

"Okay." Fox said as he let a nearby shadow envelope him, his body vanishing from sight. At the same time he stretched the shadow to cover the entrance, and also stretched several shadows in the store itself. Thankfully he didn't need full darkness to work his magic, any shadow would work no matter how faint it might be... which was quite faint when dealing with a well lit convenience store.

Fox slipped inside, the automatic doors startled him a moment and caused the clerk behind the counter to look up. The clerk just shrugged at the doors and went back to watching the little tv behind the counter and Fox slid into the store. It was impossible to see what he was doing as the shadows kept him concealed and anything he picked up simply vanished into thin air, assuming anyone knew where to look in the first place.

Fox relied more on his nose than anything else, able to smell most food through their wrappers. Anything that smelled good to him got grabbed. Some BBQ chips, lots of chocolate candy, some fruity looking stuff he didn't recognize but smelled sweet to him, a couple bottles of water since he could actually see what was inside them, and lastly he grabbed a large tray of hot nachos from near the counter. He stuffed everything but the nachos into his pockets and went right back out the front door, the automatic doors not startling him this time. He was standing next to Weaver when he allowed himself to reappear, still holding the nachos and his pockets filled with candy and bags of chips.

"Is this stuff good? I got some other stuff in my pockets." He said in a near whisper, hoping that he'd done well in choices on food.

She would not let him go in all by himself exactly, attaching one invisible wire to him and snaking some thin, translucent wires in after him and let them rest by the clerk. Adriana may have been using him for some free food and everything but she wasn't heartless. Once he was outside and out of harm's way, she'd let her wires go. Adriana was actually quite impressed that he managed to get away with so much, invisibility or not. "That's... very good," she said sincerely, quite pleased but she wasn't trying to show it too much. And he had done it without hesitation. Yes, she could see this being very profitable. "Let's head back before someone notices what's missing," she suggested, leading the way back to their little hole in the wall.

Fox's eyes were literally glowing from the praise from Weaver. He nodded eagerly when she suggested that they leave before someone noticed their handiwork. Once more he let Weaver take the lead, though he was right beside her as he carried the tray of nachos along with the rest of their snacks in his pockets. He wasn't quite sure what there weird little triangle things smothered in yellow sauce were, but they certainly smelled good to him. He could hardly wait until they were somewhere safer so they could enjoy the food.

"I hope this stuff tastes as good as it smells." He commented to Weaver as they went on their merry way.

After they had returned (using her wires to pulley them both up this time), Adriana would make herself comfortable with a homemade hammock. She would then open a bag of potato chips Fox had taken, digging into those first as Fox commented about their tasting as good as they smelled. "Haven't you had nachos before? She questioned in almost disbelief. Did this guy live under a rock or something? Come to think of it, she had noticed the glowing eyes on more then one occasion. Something wasn't quite right here but she didn't want to pry, unless it seemed like something important for her to know.

"Nachos? That's what this is called? Neat!" Fox said as he plopped down next to Weaver. He sat the nachos on his lap and then pushed his hood back, revealing his large fuzzy ears and then slid his mask off so he could eat, which gave Weaver a perfect view of what her new friend really looked like. A very vulpine face was licking its chops as Fox rubbed his hands together in anticipation of tasting the nachos.

And then Adriana's calm, cool demeanor was cracked as she stopped mid chip at Fox pulling down his hood. Were... those ears? And was that... fur? She blinked several times as if she wasn't trusting her senses any more. Had to be bad potato chips. But no, he was actually still covered in fur, and basically looked like an anthromorphic fox from the neck up. "You're... a Kitsune?" She said calmly, still processing that new information as she sat up. "This isn't some other kind of trick is it?" She asked seriously, referring to what he said about having all kinds of tricks. She wasn't alarmed or anything, just very surprised.

"Actually yes, yes I am." Fox said cheerfully, then noticing how surprised Weaver was his ears lowered a bit and he paused.

"Th-that's not a problem is it? I know most humans don't like me or my kind, but I'm really nice! I promise I am!" Fox said, starting to panic just a bit at the thought of rejection. He didn't want to have to run and hide again. He also didn't want to make Isiah worry either, because if Weaver didn't approve of Fox then that would be the first place that he'd tuck tail and scamper off too... and of course Isiah would ask what was wrong.

She blinked, not realizing he had that kind of thought. "N-no. Why would I have a problem with it? I'm just... surprised," she replied honestly, her demeanor still off after the reveal. Adriana knew very little about Kitsunes apart from the bare basics- that they were mythical fox creatures. Which up until now she had thought were just that, a myth. "I'm pretty sure most people don't even think Kitsunes are real. I didn't until just now," she said looking at him as if she wasn't totally buying it. So she leaned down from her hammock and... booped him on the nose.

Fox seemed very afraid that Weaver wouldn't want him around now that she knew what he was, or worse would want to capture him or something. Thankfully that didn't seem to be the case as she explained why she was surprised. He hadn't thought that he was rated as a 'myth'. It was actually a little weird to hear that most people didn't even think his kind existed, especially when the only two people he'd revealed himself to knew what he was right away.

All those thoughts vanished however as Weaver gently reached out and booped him on the nose. He let out a childlike giggle at that and his fur seemed to poof out for a moment as well.

"Thank you." Fox said, happy to simply have another person accept him for who he was. Now that he was feeling a bit more relaxed he decided to try some of the nachos he was still holding onto. He pulled off a glove so as not to get any of the sticky looking yellow sauce on it, and then grabbed a chip covered in cheese with his claws. A tentative sniff and then he tossed the whole chip into his mouth, crunching down onto it. His eyes lit up again at the flavor.

"These are really good!" He exclaimed in near wonderment, who knew that such things could taste so good?!?
