Good Clean Fun (Tachi)

Brian sat in his car as his men would walk in and out of the stores of Jump. Currently they were collecting their cut of the funds for protecting the stores of the area from the common thief to the wild metahuman. It would supplement the income and the medical bills of the enforcers that were hurt in the process. So today every penny counts.

Of course there was always times when stores would refuse to pay and still attempt to use their services. These were the ones that had to be taught a lesson. Brian would watch as one of his men run from a store to the car. "Boss, the guy refuses to pay and threatened to call the police." Brian looked at the store. It was a laundro-mat. Brian thought for a moment, "Simple... you tell him the consequences of his actions and let him know that there will be no help for him."

The man would nod and run back into the store. Brian expected there to be some theatrics. Brian hated for his men to threaten store owners but sometimes there was no other way to get a point across.

Ida was in the laundromat washing stuff (of course), the washer at the house had broke down and the teen did NOT want to wait a whole week to wash her clothes, especially since Zorro got a bloodstrain in her favorite jacket. Don't ask. While the teen waited for her clothes to finish washing, some man came in the laundromat and confronted the owner, and things started to get a bit heated, who was this goon? Ida heard him mention something about protection, was he part of a mob group? Perhaps I should call Zorro, this looks like something he'd want to get involved in, Ida checked her phone, it was nearly dead, Or Maybe not..Maybe I should intervene and get Zorro involved later?, she thought.

Ida stood up, but got a bit nervous, she didn't really know who, or maybe even what, she was up against, plus she didn't have a mask, so her identity wasn't necessarily safe from whatever gang this guy was in, I don't just want to let this guy push the owner of this place around.., she thought. Ida glared at the goon, and moved as if she was about to do something.

The goon who had entered the building and was currently arguing with the owner paid the girl no attention as he was preoccupied with the owner. He glared at the owner who returned the gesture. A myriad of curses were flung between the two of them as their argument got more and more heated. It wouldn't be a surprise if one of them began to throw a punch. Though when the owner saw movement from the corner of his eyes, thinking the goon was trying something he would throw a punch at the goon.

The goon having been in more fights than the laundry mat owner would take a step back. He watched as the owner would only hit the air. The goon snickered as he tried to hold down a laugh. A small chuckle could be heard emanating from his lips. "Nice." he teased. The owner looked at the goon furious. Balling his fist the owner would begin swinging once again. This time to find his jaw meeting the ground as the goon shot out a vicious counter.

Ida gasped and sped up her pace, rushing to the fallen laundromat owner. She keeled down next to him to see if he was still conscious, and if he was she'd frantically put two fingers up to the man's face, saying "H-how many fingers am I holding up? Also, if you see a tunnel with a light at the end, don't go towards the light!". After saying that, the teen glared at the goon, still holding up the two fingers, "What's your deal you big headed bully!?" She said, though she wondered if that was a good idea, probably not.

The thug looked at the girl who had gotten in the way and chuckled. " Why the look, he's the one who swung first. My 'deal' as you call it is simple. We keep this laundromat out of trouble and we are compensated for our work." He pointed at the unconscious owner who barely responded to the girl's question with the answer '4'. "Now, he wants to cancel our contract which is all fine and dandy... its just that, he has missed some payments and has expressed that he won't be paying us for the work we've already done." The man said calmly.
