Kane vs Leo

Setting: The contestants appeared in a giant metal vessel, furnished with large consoles and screens all with complicated buttons and sequences. The system was currently locked, unable to be accessed digitally by anyone other than the maker, and when the contestants looked around a bit, they could see narrow, winding passageways, and very thick glass panels showing they were in the outer reaches of space.

SPECIAL: If a contestant is defenestrated and cannot survive in open space, they are immediately disqualified. This applies to any cases in which a window is broken, though this would require a lot of force.

First Blood: Leo

Leo woke up to find himself on some sort of Vessel. From Leo's deduction it seemed to be some sort of space vessel. While he was confused to be on the ship, he knew what he was here to do, his eyes would scan the room until he saw his opponent. To his left Kane would be around 15 feet away from him. Leo would simply smirk and fire a psionic energy blast from his finger tips at Kane without a word. Not even an introduction was uttered from his lips. Leo wanted to see just what he was dealing with.

Kane looked around at his surroundings, he seemed to be in some kind of underground facility. The walls were metal and... wait, they weren't underground, there were windows. Then he saw what was out of the window. Nothing. They were in space. Oh. My. God. Space. The Final Frontier. Where no one can hear you scream. Where the star wars took place. Various other sci-fi references. Kane shook his head in disbelief, then he turned to his foe onto to see an energy blast fly at him.

Even though it was only a metre away from his face, he was still able to dodge it by bending his knees so much that his legs were at a 90 degree angle. He then shot right back up straight, looking at his foe in the eyes. Well, Kane was looking at his eyes, the guy wouldn't be able to look at Kane's eyes because of the mask Well, someone's eager. Don't you wanna take me out to dinner first?

leo didn't answer at the boy's taunts. From his perspective it looked like his opponent was quite agile. Interesting, considering he was able to dodge the energy blast from a short distance. Maybe it was time to see how many he could dodge at once. With a flick of his hands he would fire multiple bolts of psionic energy at the masked fellow.

Leo wondered how the boy would dodge them all as five bolts of energy would make its way closer and closer to the him. Leo would watch the boy, considering that this was he never saw someone dodge his blasts at such a close range. Leo wanted to see just how far this guy could go.

The boy flung multiple bolts of the same energy at him, Kane jumped high into the air, so that all of the energy bolts were far far below him. He would then use his powers to kick off against the air, going behind Leo, he would then kick off again so that he would dash down diagonally towards Leo. However, once he was almost right in Leo's face he would kick to the side so that he was to Leo's right. Then, he would finally throw a kick aimed at Leo's side, holding back enough to not kill him, but it would still throw him quite a few metres if it hit.

Leo watched as the boy would jump high up in order to avoid leo's blasts. He almost jumped high enough to smack his head into the ceiling. Leo assumed that the kid had some super powered movement. How annoying. Leo thought, as the boy would begin to rush at Leo. Leo wasn't worried honestly. As the boy would appear in multiple spots around him, Leo would simply try and keep an eye on his movement. Unfortunately due to his multiple feints Leo had very little way in telling from where he was going to attack. He was going to have to wait for an opportunity for a counter, if he wanted to beat this one.

Then when the kick finally came Leo knew what to do, using his density manipulation he became intangible just as the kick was centimeters from his side narrowly avoiding being kicked into a wall. Once it would pass through him he would use his phase strike. It was simply physical strike towards Kane's leg that was passing through, namely at the joint. If it 'land' he would change his density for a millisecond. This would cause no harm to Leo, but to Kane it would cause a great burning sensation in the point where Leo had targeted and the part that was currently inside of Leo currently. It would be akin to someone lighting that part of his body on fire. Leo believed this would be sufficient in hampering the kid's movement.

From the look of things, his attack was just about to hit it's mark, but he wasn't expecting his kick to pass right through Leo. While Kane's leg was sticking through the phantom Leo, Leo went to strike it. Kane didn't dodge, since he thought it wouldn't do anything. He was wrong. Suddenly, he felt an intense pain in his leg, that made him lose his cool and cry out in pain. He would pull his leg back and jumped backwards, making some distance between himself and Leo.

Leo not missing a beat when Kane jumped back solidified himself and began firing his energy blasts at the wounded hero. This time he was sure his blasts would do some damage, these blasts of energy were strong enough to dent steal. So Leo was sure it was more than enough to break the heroes bones and force him to admit defeat. 8 blasts of energy would leave Leo's fingers and make their way towards cane at a great speed. Leo would simply watch to see how the boy would evade this one.

Kane didn't have any time to rest, as Leo started to fire some more energy blasts at him. This would be quite hard to dodge while staying still, so he pushed off with his good leg so that he went diagonally upwards to the left. This left him out of the way of Leo's blasts. He kicked off against the air, zooming several metres to Leo's left, then he kicked off again going behind Leo. He was still metres away, but he was noticeable closer. He then jumped into the air so that he was directly above Leo before starting to go downwards. But, when he was only two metres above Leo, he zigzagged to the side so that he was behind Leo again and aimed another kick, aiming to break bone.

Leo was sure he had this in the bag at this point. His eight little crop shots would destroy the boy and if he avoided it, Leo was sure he could just go intangible again. With his one good leg the other boy would avoid Leo's shot then try to close the distance he himself established. Leo didn't even have to think as he quickly went intangible to avoid damage. He didn't even need to pay attention the the boy's theatrics as he would zigzag behind Leo.

Once he saw that leg pass through him, he would push turn sideways. His arm shot out at an unexpected speed, he would aim it at the boy's heart. If it went through he wouldn't use his phase strike. Not yet at least, he would bargain with the boy to keep his life or let it end at his hand.

"I'd say this fight is just about over... surely you realize that there is no way for you to win... give up... i got a show at 3."

Kane's attack didn't work again, merely passing through Leo's body. Then, his arm shot out towards Kane, Kane cartwheeled backwards to avoid the attack. That thing wasn't fun. Kane sighed. This was just a pointless fight, it's not like anything was at stake. Kane didn't stand a chance, he was willing to accept that. He was too predictable, there was no way he could catch this guy by surprise. He visibly went out of his fighting pose and raised his hands I give up. I can't do anything to a guy like you. Have luck in the other rounds. He would walk forwards and attempt to shake the victors hand.

Leo shook his head refusing the handshake politely. "Sorry, I have this thing about touching people.... .I wouldn't want to accidentally phase strike you." he would say holding up his hands. Honestly he expected the kid to kick him the moment he touched him. So Leo thought it would be best to not put hiimself in that kind of position. So Leo would stand and wait for them to be beamed out of the ship.

The combatants were returned to the lobby, all of their wounds healed and their energy rejuvenated. They were informed that they could stay in the tournament to spectate, and that if they had lost a match, they were free to return home. They were also informed that fighting was forbidden outside of the arena.
