Powers:

Umbrakinesis/Darkness Magic - Khariel can manipulate all forms of darkness: natural, magical, and demonic darkness (darkness caused by the existence of shades and their energy), as well as conjure up his own. With it, he can do the following:

    Wings of Armageddon: Khariel summons two large blackish-purple wings from his back that glint harsh fragments of gold. These wings grant him flight up to a top speed of 200 km/hr, and span out 12 ft. Khariel can control the tangibility of these wings at will.

    Consuming Forcefield: Khariel can swallow himself in dark magic, acting as a forcefield. This defense can withstand up to 4 1/2 metric tonnes of force before breaking, and any light to medium gunfire and explosives is consumed and neutralized within the forcefield. Any magic types excluding holy and light magic is consumed by the forcefield and converted to dark magic. Khariel's head appears as a shadowy raven's while this ability is activated.

    Tendrils of Shadow: Khariel can conjure dark magic in the form of tendrils of shadow from anywhere in/on his body. He can then control these tendrils and send them towards his opponent - there's very little preventing him from sending out any large size of tendril, however, the larger the tendril, the slower it is and the longer it is before Khariel can summon another one of that size. For example, a 25 foot long tendril with a 10 foot diameter will move 0.5 kilometres an hour and cannot be summoned again for another 30 minutes. These dark tendrils can only be blast apart or cut apart with a holy weapon or attack - any other method used and they will simply rejoin themselves if there is any shadow or darkness nearby. These tendrils can strangle, cut and pierce enemies.

Psychic Abilities - Khariel has access to two psychic abilities:

    Psychokinesis: Similar to Kristen's own telekinesis, Khariel's psychokinesis is fueled by a more sinister force than simply mental willpower. Khariel draws upon the negative energy in the atmosphere and can use it to lift, throw, and push objects. A psycho-push may be used as a form of attack, but the other two actions cannot be directly used against living things. Khariel's psychokinesis when pushing can exert up to a crushing 3 tonnes of force, while he can lift and throw objects up to 4 1/2 tonnes.

    Telepathy: Khariel can read the minds of normal humans, meta-humans and magic users only if they have not received training to counteract this ability. He can also communicate telepathically with others.

Spiritual Sensitivity - Khariel can sense a variety of soul types for a several kilometres. Among these are:
    -Angelic
    -Demonic
    -Chaotic
    -Orderly

Weaknesses:

Holy/Light Magic - Khariel is vulnerable to holy and light magic. While his contact with it does not directly harm him, it can disrupt his darkness magic in the correct quantity.

Mental Blocks - Khariel cannot read the minds of those who have received training for counteracting or naturally have an affinity to block this ability. Khariel cannot read the mind of any immortal.

No Lifting Zone - Khariel cannot use psychokinesis to hold any living being in the air against their will, nor can he throw them.

Soft-Skinned - Khariel's Nephilim physiology is similar to a humans in that anything that could kill a human can kill him if his forcefield is not activated.

Consuming Shadow - When his Consuming Forcefield is activated, Khariel slowly starts to lose control of his other abilities - and his sanity. The more damage that is sustained by the forcefield, the faster this process becomes. If Khariel's forcefield is activated for too long, he will eventually need to deactivate it lest he is driven to insanity by the shadow he surrounds himself with.

Equipment:



This longsword is Khariel's signature weapon - he carries it everywhere. It is forged from a special element that has the ability to easily mediate dark magic. Khariel can cast his Shadow Tendrils from this if he is holding it due to this reason.




Personality:
Cunning, eccentric and overzealous, Khariel hates humans and believes that the world is not theirs to rule. He will look for any excuse to kill a human. He's otherwise apathetic about meta-humans, supernatural beings and magic users, but will side with one if their intentions line up. He's emotionally distant to most people and doesn't create attachments. Some may say he's a little crazy as well, but he may be driven to madness due to the nature of his powers and how it consumes him. Despite seeming like a freak, he's surprisingly charismatic.

History:
Khariel appeared in Jump City as a tall shadow upon a greater penumbra. He is Kristen's adoptive brother, and they came from the same team in Rome that suffered that brutal accident. His arrival to Jump City is for a different reason than Kristen's however: Kristen might have been chasing the shadow, but through Khariel's actions, now the shadow would be chasing her.

We need one more way to get past that force-field. Soft-Skinned is a fine weakness, but it only really applies if her force-field is not up. Other than Khariel deciding to have it down, is there a reason he can't have it up all the time? Perhaps there is a time limit for how long he can have it up before needing to recharge. Perhaps the force-field itself gets damaged by each attack made against it, so enough attacks (under the 4.5 ton breaking point) within a certain time frame would damage the force-field faster than it could be repaired, causing it to break for a period of time. Perhaps bright sources of natural or electric light dissipate the force-field entirely, since light is the natural bane to darkness.

The weakness could be one of these, it could be all of them, or it could be something else entirely. It's up to you. We just need some other way to get past that force-field. Let me know when you've updated the app and I'll give you an approval.
