Hair Color: Hair: Long shiny black hair that is swept up into a bun with the exception of her bangs.

Eye Color: Eyes: Electric blue eyes, the pupil is rimmed in a fiery orange ring. This is a condition called, Central Heterchromia.

Gender Female

Skin:  Extremely Pale

Build: XiFeng is fairly small and delicate looking, and true to that she is not strong or very hearty, but rather incredibly agile and fast.


Height: 5'3

Weight: 113 lb

Other Traits: Other Traits: Unknown to XiFeng, there is a barcode behind her left ear. When activating any fire power, her eyes glow orange and flicker with flames and her hair floats. Other than the various scars on her stomach from the human drug trade XiFeng looks very human.

Uniforms: Normal: XiFeng usually wears the typical black blazer, shoes and skirt of her old school.

Battle Gear: XiFeng wears a fire resistant Jacket and Jeans that she fashioned from salvaged materials.

Formal: The only formal wear XiFeng has is the dress she ran away from Carnegie hall in.

Other: XiFeng had varying pices of clothing from a suitcase she stashed shortly after her concert incident. She has a few outfits from varying classy to formal but rarely ever wears them.




Powers: Normal Form: These abilities are activated at any time in every from.

Rebirth/Resurrection: After dying, XiFeng will wither away into ashes and burst forth from them alive once more. In this time the rebirth is extremely painful and if killed during the rebirth process she dies permanently. It is only a short moment when this happens as the body begins to reform from the ashes, to mark this the ashes will start to glow. It takes several hours to, ‘re-spawn’ and in this time if her ashes are moved, she will re-spawn where the majority of them are still grouped together.

Fire Projection: The ability to produce and ‘launch’ flames. These could be in the form of plumes, or little balls. Plumes can reach from 20 to 30 feet, and fireballs can be launched 50 ft but are only the size of a large grapefruit. The largest fireball that XiFeng could create would be the size of a beachball and would take a couple minutes to generate. Flames only reach to a maximum potential of 800  degrees farenheight from a minimum of 500 degrees farenheight. Though not hot enough to melt metals, the flame can eat away at less dense materials like concrete if the proper amount of time is set aside. The only time the flames can be created without originating from her hands are when she is in Martyr Form or higher. These flames can only be created in a 20 ft radius away from her body.

Flight: Can use either the force of the flame, sprout wings of fire, or turn into a phoenix. As a phoenix she can fly anywhere from 20 to 50 mph, but depending on the situations (Weather and personal willpower) She can go from 80-100 mph.

Flame Resistance: As per being enveloped in flames when turning into a phoenix, XiFeng is impervious to all but the most intense flames.

Avian Traits: XiFeng carries avian traits outside of her phoenix form. Therefore her bones are hollow and easy to wound, however she has advanced colour vision, can adapt to most atmospheres excluding fatal noxious gases, simple things such as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide or a thin atmosphere will not affect her.

Martyr Form: This form is a slightly powered up version of normal form, therefore bearing all of the previous powers. XiFeng can enter this form after a couple years of training or under immense distress.

Flame/Pyro kinetic Construction: The ability to create and exoskeleton of fire or even weapons composed of flames. The armour and flames are terribly hot and can burn any flammable material of low heat tolerance metal. Well constructed daggers and swords however, can pass through this barrier. This is a minor natural ability geared more towards menial criminals.

Phoenix Form: This form is activated only when XiFeng desires or when the sun is at its strongest point in the year.

Sirens Song: The Phoenix has an ability to send out a telepathic melody that entrances its audience momentarily. This is not mind control, and is not terribly useful in battle, but more of a signal that the phoenix is nearby.


Skills: Agility, Speed, Concentration, Intelligence, Negotiation

Weaknesses:
• *Special Weakness* Water! In the winter or when drenched in water, XiFeng has a harder time activating her powers, and usually is only able to produce small flickers of flames. While ice is more of an extreme condition, water provides almost the same amount of troubles. Note that if drenched in rain, XiFeng simply needs to walk out of the rain. Once out of the rain she can cloak herself in fire and remedy the situation. Perhaps with intensive training this weakness can be improved upon in the future.
• Despite not being able to control her powers in the least, XiFeng is greatly hindered in all cold environments.
• Her flames will easily incapacitate someone, but almost never have the ability to kill.
• When flying, she may adapt to the thin atmosphere but it takes a great toll on her body having little of the muscles required to fly.
• Weapons and shields made of fire have no actual blade, but are hot enough to melt or sever ties and she has received no training with them.
• Fortitude, Constitution, Street Sense, Co-Operation, Strength


Equipment: XiFeng prefers to fight with guns. Though she was never trained with them, after a quick tutorial she proved a quick study. She carries several small guns hidden under her uniform. As XiFeng advances with her abilities and training, this section will be updated.




Personality: XiFeng is fairly quiet at first. She does seek or reject contact. Typical to the traditional raising of a wealthy Chinese girl.  However, XiFeng slowly begins to come out of shell and is revealed to be a cheeky, rambunctious free spirit. She loves to create mischief but never do terrible wrong. Rather, she wishes to be a normal girl.

Interests/Habits: Piano, Art, Astronomy, Humour, Caligraphy.

XiFeng often suffers from nightmares that seem to be from the pats lives of fellow Phoenix adapted humans. And will often end up waking up from them in a running sprint. Regardless of her pyjamas, she will go running into the city or where ever her scrambled mind takes her.




Family Members: Alive and well in ShangHai. Her wealthy parents quickly disowned XiFeng after an incident in a concert hall.

Place of Origin:Shang Hai

History: XiFeng was born into an affluent family. Her wealthy parents were absent most of her life. This lead to a lack of social setting in her early years, and she became a very closed off child. However, her parents had dreams for a famous piano player in the family, and as such XiFeng was forced into a basement where she was beat and starved by a teacher until she would play. Her parents only saw the teacher as a famous instructor and ignored this abuse. In time the piano became her only emotional outlet and best friend.

When XiFeng was little, she first noticed the little flames that she could make dance, and fearless of the fire that did not burn her, played with her powers when no one was looking. However, nearing her pre ten years, XiFeng was put through high social class training, and under the pressure began to fear using her powers and expose herself as a freak. As a result of this, she can longer control her powers even if she may be able to eloquently present herself at a party or event.

After a successsful debut as a thirteen year old classical and contemporary pianist, XiFeng quickly became a child star in both Asia and Europe. 'The Prodigy!' Tabloids declared, and soon XiFeng was meant to preform, and break into the American culture at Carnegie Hall. Under the immense pressure, XiFeng erupts into a flaming vortex in the middle of her performance after hearing the whispers of the crowd and fearing rejection.

For a year after her outburst at Carnegie hall, she roamed the streets. Rich people on poor streets make a bad combination and soon, XiFeng was adopted into the opium trade being shipped back and forth from Asia to America in a comatose induced state as a corpse with drug implanted into her stomache. One day, during an attempted rape by one of the smugglers, XiFeng had another outburst and killed her handlers. Lost and confused, she roamed the streets again, oblivious to the drugs planted in her stomache.     XiFeng is promptly hunted down by the organization and the drugs are removed. Being completely aware during the operation, XiFeng freaks out as she watches the drugs being pulled from the midst of her organs and accidentally destroys the facility in her distress. The ceiling falls on XiFeng and kills her, leading to her first rebirth in phoenix form.

As a phoenix she flew from the place of her first rebirth until exhaustion took her and collapsed at the edge of Star City.


Sample rp: Gasping, XiFeng bolted up from her hiding place in the forest in a cold sweat. Panic and the violent haze of her nightmare gripped her mind, unleashing a terror that fueled her feet. Branches whipped her face opening small cuts, and the wind sliced through her thin, ratty clothes. The scenery flew by, but XiFeng remained oblivious. People gave disgruntled growls and shouts as she stumbled her way through the city, seeing nothing but the nightmare of a dead looming figure. She gave a small cry an ducked into the alley and took refuge curled up in the small dark corners of the dead end. Image flashed in her mind, consuming greedily every thought. Clutching her head, torrents of tears poured from her eyes and would continue to until the nightmare wore out.

Thank you for your patience. This is a very interesting character. There are a few things that need to be added/removed/explained in the application before I can approve Sheng. Don't be discouraged. -How can she be killed in the rebirth process? I thought she was a pile of ashes at that point. How do you kill a pile of ash?

-Fire Projection- What is the maximum range she can project this fire? Also, what is the average size of a fireball that she can shoot? If she went all-out, what is the biggest fireball she could make?

-Catatonic Pyro kinetic Combustion must be removed.

-Flight- What is her average, comfortable flight speed? If she really pushed it, what is the fastest she could fly?

-Phoenix Transformation and Phoenix Form seem to be redundant. Please remove one.

-Fire Armor and Fire Pyrokinetic Construction seem to be redundant. Please remove one. Also, on the note of fire armor, how effective could fire armor actually be? In weaknesses you say that his fire weapons have no actual blade, since they are made entirely out of fire. That would make fire shields and armor almost entirely useless. They wouldn't stop any physical attacks, but would burn someone trying to punch her with their bare hand. Aura of fire already covers that. I recommend getting rid of the armor and shields and just simplifying the power to construction fire weapons.

-Water- Definitely needs to be in weaknesses. If she is covered in water, then pretty much all of her powers would be removed. She can't produce fire when she's soaking wet. This may seem harsh, but she has plenty of very powerful abilities, and water is the natural elemental counter to fire. Even in Phoenix form, she wouldn't be able to fly because her feathers would be wet and weighed down.

Counting the abilities as sub-powers of being a Phoenix, she is now in an acceptable power range. Just remember that fire armor can't block bullets, and that water puts out fire, and everything should be good.

Just one more thing that needs to be edited.

She cannot have been enrolled in HIVE Academy. HIVE is no longer an academy. In our current storyline, HIVE is an elite organization of villains that currently rules over Jump City. Also, new characters are not allowed to be members of groups upon creation. Sheng XiFeng will need to be introduced to members of a team, in character, and can then go about the process of joining one.

My suggestion would be to start RP'ing her story starting just as soon as she escapes from the drug runners and is reborn for the first time.

I gather from your discussion with Dar that 'Phoenix Form' references to Sheng's ability to transform into a Phoenix bird. If this is true then I have no problem approving this.

Other than that, very nicely written app! The only thing I would like to see would be a cap on your fire temperature. It's not that big of a deal, just a little nit picky thing I have...

Once that's taken care of I see no other problem!

The fire burns at the most to eight hundred degrees, not enough to melt metal but enough to melt things like concrete if you stand there long enough. It's basically on the higher scale of a wood burning stove. But I can't find the edit button (@_@)...it's been a few months.

I don't see it. There are two dots I can't click on a backwards button that takes me to a different link and two drop boxes that say share and action, neither of which have the edit.

If you would like I can edit it for you because it's not that big of a deal, however we still should get this straightened out so it doesn't happen to you again in the future!
