Psychosis vs Black Ice

Grace Dore walked through the snowy field, wearing her typical attire. Black boots, a black trench coat, and a black collar. Her long black hair reached to her waist. She had remained astonishingly thin, even after bearing 3 children years back. The queen of the Koori Tribe of the North, the Land of Ice, stopped to smile at her husband.

"It's been a while since we've sparred. It's probably a good idea that we're this far out. Nobody else can get hurt here? Are you ready, my love?"

When Will said he was ready, Grace would take a deep breath in. They weren't kids anymore. Their powers had developed far beyond what they once had been. It made her wonder how she should even attempt to attack someone as powerful as Will.

Suddenly, the frozen ground beneath William burst into activity. Dozens of blades made of hardened ice stabbed up at the man without warning. Each extended 15 feet, until a lattice of icy blades had been formed. On normal opponents, that would have been a certain death attack, but William was no ordinary adversary.

Oh, that actually hit him? Well that was no good. Wait, no blood? That meant it was a stand-in of some sort. Grace spun around to see Will floating behind her.

Will cast his incantation, and the magical blast flew towards Grace. She froze her entire body, allowing her to both manipulate it and survive extreme g-forces. In the blink of an eye, Grace strafed across the sky, escaping the massive explosion of magical energy.

Thawing out her body, Grace kept a covering of ice armor, allowing her to remain airborne. Holding her arms out, Grace reached for two clouds in the sky, as if trying to grab them. She clenched her fists together. Both clouds turned into solid chunks of pure ice. Bringing her arms down quickly, Grace commanded the clouds to come crashing down on her husband. The impact would not be quite enough to crack the surface of the earth, but each cloud easily weighed in at several hundred tons.

"I'd say I'm still getting warmed up, but...yeah."

The blast successfully caused Grace to be sent flying, but Will saw her frozen body stop in mid air. "Just warmed up? I thought you were the queen of ice, haha." A darkness suddenly engulfed Will, alerting him. Looking to the sky, he sees two gigantic blocks of ice hurling to him from the sky! "What with this place and huge things dropping on people!?"

Cupping his hands together, leaving a ball shaped space in between them, Will stares up at the ice clouds as he chants once more. A loud whirling sound erupts from his hands before he holds them high above his head, opening them up to let the spell out. A massive vortex of wind cycles up to meet one of the chunks, shredding right though, similar to that of ice inside of a blender, until all that was left was the snow flakey remains swimming through the air. Will turns his attention to the second one, only to see that it was too late to stop that one in it's tracks, but he had enough time to focus in one spot to take cover in the ice chunk with his vortex before it collided with him. With a thundering collision, the ice swallowed over Will and hit the ground, this time effectively dealing some damage to Will from the impact. Using his magic to teleport into the sky, where he would then focus on keeping Grace defensive. Conjuring a spell orb in his hand, Will throws it at the ground, which shakes briefly before several large hands made of the Earth's crust, rise up and begin swatting at Grace.

Will managed to destroy one of the giant ice clouds, quite impressive. The other one looked like it almost got him, but sure enough he teleported back into the sky. The ground shook as the ice landed beneath them. Grace smiled. It was a good thing they were both heroes.

With another spell, Will conjured massive hands of stone to rise up and swat at Grace. She pointed a finger at each one in sequence, shooting a hair-thin line of ice at them. On impact, the hands would freeze solid, only to shatter into loose gravel a moment later. The last one got close, a little too close, and Grace actually got hit by the shrapnel.

Ouch. That was embarrassing. She should have just frozen that last hand and taken the time to move before shattering it. Oh well. Grace hadn't done as much fighting lately. Mistakes were bound to happen.

Perhaps simple evasion would have been a better tactic. Grace realized that she didn't have time to counter attack before Will could cast another spell.

A midst the her distraction, Will takes the moment to see how Grace could manage against what he, or what Grace had in store next. Focusing on another spell, Will had begun conjuring an orb that kept shifting it's shape before finally throwing it at Grace while she was focusing on the stone hands.

Honey, you should say "hi". You haven't seen yourself in a long time.

After the spell had collided with Grace, it quickly surrounded over herself and flew off from the otherside of Grace, now in a complete mirror copy form of her. In the close distance, the duplicate goes to grab a hold of Grace's throat

Grace got hit by a spell, and was surprised to find a duplicate of herself staring back at her. She chuckled. Where was this spell when she needed it? Raising three kids had stretched their abilities to the max.

The duplicate flew towards Grace, reaching out a hand to grab her throat. Grace kept her distance. She was immune to cold, and could not be frozen. She could, however, be encased in ice. And being encased in ice for even a second would give Will the chance he needed to hit her with something heavy.

"Ice Needle."

One thousand needles made of ice appeared on Grace's skin. They shot out at the same time in random directions with the force of a bullet. Both the duplicate Grace and Will would be in harm's way.

A second later, she would fire off her Ice Needle attack two more times.
