Other Traits: Generally, he is seen wearing his civvies, during and not during hero-stuff. These consist of a black t-shirt (generally with something funny and/or ironic on it) with a pair of jeans. In the off chances you catch him on patrol, or working with a team, he'll have his hair slicked back, wearing a pair of sunglasses, with a badass trenchcoat, with his civvies underneath it. This is in respect to other people who are badass, such as the Punisher, while hiding his identity enough so people won't bug him about if he knows the identity of any masked people of the team he's on, or why he was on patrol.





Powers: Effect Fields

The power Tristan possesses is Effect Fields, areas that he sets up that have effects. These fields can have a large variety of effects, however, he can only project one at a time as of yet. While in the field, everyone is under its effects, including allies, enemies, and Tristan himself. Due to this, he cannot be too careful when selecting the effect field type he projects. Of course, the maximum size of the field is limited to (posts/5) meters, rounding up to the higher meter, capping at 50 meters. He can shrink his field to a smaller size. Fields are stationary, and when he leaves them, they go down. Effect fields that can be generated are as follows:

Skills: Close Combat training; Knowledge and use of various modern and primative ranged weaponry; Knowledge of rope tying and escape artistry.

Weaknesses: His biggest weakness is himself (All his fields cause him thevsame repercussions as anyone else inside), Alien races (Who's physiology is generally different, so a lot of his fields fail on them unless they are very human in body form and mentality), environmental adaption types (can adapt to his fields like they adapt to the environment), healers (just make him feel obsolete sometimes), infiltrators (Can invade his fields somehow...), energy absorbers (can eat the fields), and ranged combatants (at early points at the very least, he can't affect what he can't reach.)

Equipment: A pair of night sticks, 10 sets of handcuffs with individual keys, 15 ft of rope, a lock pick and small torque wrench.




Personality: Tristan, while he seems like he'd be all over the nearest villain, is the first guy to personally try and talk a villain down. While this leads to a failure in most cases, he is not disheartened. Due to his verbal warnings not working, he can at least say he warned people. Of course, he isn't a particularly skilled individual, and would never claim to be. He respects skilled individuals greatly, especially if they were skilled and used it for justice.

Due to the rather suicidal nature of his powers and their effects on him, he usually prefers to end things in a short time, usually trying to go without them. In fact, he doesn't much like his powers at all and would probably trade them for a cooler power if he could. Still, he appreciates any compliments on his work, powers, appearance. He develops friendships pretty easily because one compliment is worth taking a hundred insults to him.

In the off chances one works on a team with him, they will find him very good at teaming-up tactics. He enjoys making use of back to back combat, though he works best in a duo. He's very complimentary to another's fighting style.

If you are his enemy, you really had to try, just saying. His absolute hatred, enough to call someone his enemy, requires causing him and those he cares about all personal harm. This rage is like 300 suns, and the whole of Sparta's ancient military force, had a love child of pure hatred, and stored it in a hate bank at 30% interest for a few dozen years, only to be stolen along with the rest of the rage stored at the hate bank by this kid who stored it in a dormant volcano with an annoying room mate named Carl. Seriously, if you make him mad at you, your very name will invoke a moment of murderous thoughts in him. And that is commendable.

If he falls in love, he will never admit it, but show signs of it in incredibly obvious manners. He will stare at the subject unconsciously, defend them first without thinking, and immediately jump in on conversations involving the topic of the subject of his increadibly stealthy affection, to support compliments and deter insults, usually wuthout thinking. When directly talking with them, he may develop a blush, as well as have noticeable, heart-shaped, pink pupils as he talks, while sounding like he is perfectly fine, and not nervous, usually talking about totally unrelated topics to love, such as football... or the most recent bank robbery and how he stopped it singlehandedly while curling 200 with his main hand (which, by the way, is a lie).

Strengths: Friendly like no tomorrow, good in small teams, funny

Interests/Habits: He is strongly interested in asian graphic novels, though he can't read them in their natural language, so he often uses a phone for reading translated versions. He has a small habit of glancing at his phone, unlocking it, and then just closing it and putting it back in his pocket. In the presence of more famous heroic figures, he has a habit of being a downer on himself, possibly because he seeks compliments from his heroes, possibly on accident via subconscious comparison of fame.

Dad - (Relaxed, but stern and scary to the eye. Addicted to drugs including venom. Knows of his powers.)
Little Brother - (Car/Automechanics buff. A bit annoying, but overall humorous. Knows of his powers.)
Place of Origin: United States, Eastern Time Zone
History: Born in the states, Tristan was but a simple, quiet baby and toddler. Because of him being such, he was not really all that needy, found no reason to ask about very much, asides the occasional why. When he asked why, he requested the cause for the effect that he had to deal with, not the usual requesting a reason for why he would want to do something. As he would ask about cause and effect, he definitely took an interest in understanding it. Causality was something that he would, ironically, grow to understand more than logic.

Tristan was in elementry school, around 5th grade, when he discovered his metahuman powers to control acausality. It showed up when he caused a causality loop which ended up doing his homework, via accidentally making a small field in which he had a lot of intelligence, and did his homework in so little time, he scared himself. After some summer camping, he started Middle School with a new lease on life. He started to make friends, and become popular, much to his mother's pleasure. It was about all that happened during that time that was anything special outside of him secretly practicing his effect fields.

Once he hit High School, he figured it was as good a time as any to become a hero, and he took to fighting crime around Jump City, the place to be for any young heroes looking to fight villains. He found he was pretty good at it, too! However, his powers weren't as useful to him as they initially appeared to be, and he began to fear them a bit more. Happily, it was nothing that stopped his crime-fighting, nor traumatized him against his powers, just a couple of mishaps that resulted in him almost suffocating, and a small time dialation mishap where the bad guy got away. Nowadays, he's just keeping at the lifestyle, hoping to make his big break soon.
Sample rp: Tristan, a bit worn out from chasing down a bank robber, slumped down to sit upon a bench in the park. That particular bank robber was a pain in the arse to deal with, and essentially wasn't really worth the effort, in the eyes of a civilian. Needless to say though, it mattered to him and that was enough to keep him going. Tristan wiped away beads of sweat from his forehead, then smiled, letting out a sigh of relief. Looking over at the person reading this app, he would say, "Just remember, this is an example."

A good start but we don't allow any level of omnipotence. So you'll need to rethink this. Again a good start and I look forward to seeing what direction you take this. Also, dimensional travel isn't something that we're allowing yet.

All fair enough, I altered my powers to something else, and hope this works better with the systems at hand.

These fields need some indication of what happens in them, such as stating the name.

If you're okay with cooldowns, then I'd like more on Entrapment, Life Support, Enemy, and Aversion.

You should explain his weaknesses a bit. Some are not too clear as to why he is weak to them.
