Powers: Julian has the advantage of speed and reaching great heights. His movements occur in the blink of an eye (approximately 250 meters per second) and are therefore, rarely seen until they have already occurred. These movements are sustained on a voluntary basis and can only occur in short bursts. They are not continuous (i.e. he cannot perform a stream of fast movements, but instead, must pause in between each one.)

His muscular physique aids in his supernatural ability to launch himself into the air, or from one building to another in a single bound. This supernatural jumping ability is limited to ten story building-height, or length, when on a horizontal plane. His jumping power is extremely limited due to the amount of energy required to complete a single jump. One great jump is all Julian may accomplish until his energy is recharged which requires about a one-two minute time period.

Skills: Due to Julian’s double jointed physicality, he is able to cram his body into tight spaces, slip through tiny cracks, and worm his way out of restraints. This ability is restricted to "typical" human contortionist angles and movements.

Weaknesses: Julian’s lightning speed and leaping ability are only available when he remains perfectly unhurt. Any cut or scratch would make him as slow moving as any regular mortal. Julian cannot escape all restraints though he is able to contort his body in unnatural ways. Those restraints that combine the immobilization of every limb are much more difficult or impossible for Julian to throw off.

Equipment: Julian is a fighter and a killer for hire, either good or evil, so he regularly carries his favorite weapon on his belt: a single silver dagger.



Personality: Julian was disgraced when he fell from the realm of god and when he was denied access to hell below. Trapped in limbo on the earth, Julian is bitterly angry at those who are successful, strong, and generally well accepted. Life, to him, is a popularity contest that is always lost by him and won by others. He does not desperately seek the attention of others, however. Julian hides in the shadows that he considers his only companions. When Julian sees someone shunned, disgraced, and embarrassed by another, he feels compassion and empathy for that individual. It is in that situation that Julian’s hero nature comes into play.

Strengths: Perhaps Julian’s only and best trait is his compassion for his fellow outcasts. The empathy he feels for them drives him to protect and care for them. He is loyal when shown loyalty, and when given respect and shown appreciation, he will never leave the side of the individual that indulged his ego.

Interests/Habits: Julian lurks in dark street corners, alleyways, and against the shadows along the sides of buildings. He prefers being active at night as opposed to the day, and for amusement, he silently sips drinks at bars while listening to people’s conversations around him. He enjoys bringing the homeless leftover food from the bars he frequents and escorting friendless drunks home from the bars.



Family Members: As a creature made in heaven, Julian has no family. He was created as an individual being with no association to blood relatives.

Place of Origin: Julian was made in heaven but resides on the earth.

History: Julian was created as an angel in heaven, but he was an envious angel from the very start. He desired to be as popular and adored as the god who made him. When he attempted to out-shine his creator and gather a following of other angels, Julian was expelled from heaven and sent to earth. He then made a second attempt at gaining popularity from those lost souls below the earth, but he was denied access because his intentions would have placed the underworld in chaos. So, Julian was doomed to wander the earth with no place to go and no one to impress. The only people he could elicit gratitude and admiration from were those like him; those people thrown out and forgotten.

Sample rp: Julian bent down, and wrapped the coat under the sleeping man’s head a little tighter, so that his head could receive more cushion. He stood up and gazed sadly down at the huddled figure. Bruised, bloody, and nearly unconscious, the man had been beaten up by the local gang. He had no money, and only the clothes on his back, but the result of an unconscious, helpless man was entertaining. He was their second victim that day alone.

Julian was swimming in a cloud of depression, anger, and confusion as he sauntered away, down the alley. It had been three weeks since his last paid job, and now his own personal money stash had disappeared with the last shot of whiskey at his favorite bar. The thought of going on a villainous streak and stealing from the community flashed through his mind. But, he could not forget about the lonely girl, at the end of his street that owned the tiny bakery no one ever entered. She cried at night, and he would stand on the other side of the street, in the shadows, watching as she threw her bread, rolls, and bagels, made just that morning, into the dumpster, for the fourth time that week. Julian wondered if he was in love with that girl.

As he lurched up to his doorstep and shoved his key into the lock, Julian happened to glance down. At his feet, and shoved part way under the door, was a red envelop with his name printed neatly in bold, black letters. Julian kicked the door open and bent down to retrieve the envelope. He slipped one finger under the seal and jerked up, ripping open the envelope in one smooth blur of movement.

“Your services are required,” the letter inside the envelope began. “Meet me at the 5th Street Bridge, south side of the river, at eleven o’clock tonight. I would ask you to come alone, but I do not think that will be necessary.”

Julian snorted in derision. “Impertinent snob!” he sneered. “You don’t need my help.” But he could not throw the letter in the trash like he had planned to do. It was a job offer, and one that could pay well. Julian could buy a loaf of bread from the girl down the street and share it with the man in the alley. He cringed as he turned on his heal, snatched up his coat, and walked back out the door.

It looks super nice right now! Grammar, spelling, and sentence structure is all beautiful. Character concept is nicely thought out and put together smoothly. Just a few minor things before we can let Julian out to explore the world that is Jump City!

It's all in the power section:

- Your powers are fine, speed and height for jump are the two I'm picking out, if there is something else you need to make it more clear.

- However, I need limits, please and thank you! Exactly how fast can he move? Give me a mph or m/s or something along those lines. How long can he run before tiring? How long can he keep up his "blink of an eye" movements? Does he move like that all the time or can he slow down if he want? Then for jumping... How high can he jump? How far can he jump?

- I'll let contortionism stay in the skills because it is a natural human phenomenon. Now, that said, I'd like to know, to be exact, if his movements through contorting his body are all humanly possible. If not, that needs to be moved to powers.

Once those changes are made, I feel it safe to say that Jule's can be protecting the outcasts and terrorizing those he's hired to kill! Hope to see a beautiful edit soon! <3

Bow, I've made the edits, and I hope they are sufficient enough. About Jule's running, I had not envisioned him like the Flash. His movements are meant for petite purposes (i.e. blocking, punching, etc.) not long distance or endurance tasks (i.e. running.) If I need to change anything else, please let me know. (It's always the "powers" section that messes me up!)  

Thank you so very much, sweetie! Unfortunately, your edits have left new areas that need adjusting, but not in a bad way!

- A boxer punches at 12.1 m/s. You have your speedster punching at 1 m/s, which is slower than even I punch. I would suggest you taking it up quite a few notches, around 250-300 m/s should do the trick! That's close to the speed of sound but you don't have the sonic boom. (It's too destructive and unavoidable to be approvable.)

- Also, I would suggest bumping up your maximum height to around 10 stories because, it's a nicer number and gives you a little more space between enemies that can fly and such.
