1000 Beast Boys?

In the Teen Titans episode "Crash," Beast Boy turns into an amoeba and makes thousands of copies of himself. All of the copies are green and have the same face as amoeba Beast Boy. So, for at least that brief moment, there are several thousand Beast Boys.

So, my question is: where did all of those Beast Boys go?

Did they all die? Did they all go to their own island and start their own nation of shapeshifters? Are they spread out across the world in individual cities being superheroes? Were they hunted down?

What do you guys think?

I believe they were all inside cyborg though because he was sick? The one ep with Gizmo right and didn't cyborg sneeze them out and then BB reformed into himself?

Yep that's the episode. BB was inside Cyborg when he made all of his copies. He was able to turn into an amoeba because he can be any animal. All of those copies would be his actual, legitimate children and since they were exact duplicates would have the same powers as him. (Possibly the same personality, too.) So for this moment, there are thousands of Beast Boys who are exactly the same and there is no way to tell who the original was. They might not have known themselves.

After Cyborg sneezes them out, however, only 1 Beast Boy turns back into human form. There is green goo on the ground (which is all the other Beast Boys still in Amoeba form). During the episode, none of the others change to human or anything else.

Did they all die from being sneezed out? That would mean that Cyborg just killed his best friend a thousand times. That one Beast Boy was just lucky enough to make it out alive.

Or perhaps he just beat them to the punch and changed before the rest of them. Not wanting to confuse everyone, they decided to live out their lives as amoebas?

I want to see those 1000 Beast Boys get jealous and try to join the team. Obviously, this wouldn't work, but where did they all go?

By the way, Beast Boy could easily take over the world by making a few million of himself in this manner and then making an army of shapeshifters.

True, unless they all had the same consciousness. Also, with that logic so could many of the duplicating superheroes. However, as we also see in the future episode where Beast Boys a wimp and out of shape balding middle aged man He's not the best fighter without a team, can be a coward, and isn't that bright, which is why he's probably never thought to do that during battle.

Also, with Superman, Batman, and Martian Manhunter alone they would figure out a way to stop Beast Boy not to mention the rest of the heroes in the world. As they have stopped Starro before who dispersed mind controlling stars all over the world and the armies of Apokolips, who might be outnumbered by human, but can take on the entire human race 10 to 1 like Dar.

I also, think they all reformed into Beast Boy and that green goo was just the stuff left behind. FOr example how sperm will travel in a big pool of semen, but the semen isn't the sperm. Sorry, for the sick reference, but it's best I can think of.

I don't see how or why all the BB's would have a collective consciousness. Also, even if they did, it wouldn't mean that they could all morph together into 1 human. If he was a dog and had puppies, the puppies wouldn't all join together with him to turn into 1 human.

Beast Boy's power is to turn into animals. Since an amoeba can reproduce really quick, he was able to do that. However, neither Amoebas nor humans are able to fuze together with others of their kind into one being. That's more like Billy Numerous. Can BB also combine multiple versions of himself into one being? If he can, then his powers are a lot stranger than even he knows.

You're definitely right about him not being able to take over the world. He would get slaughtered by the JL, no matter how many copies he had.

Hmm, I wont pretend to know the limitations of his powers since not even he knew that he could turn into an alien and apparently a werewolf or sasquatch type being. However, I do know that most cellular beings can bond to other cellular beings and they might've done that?

Or rather they all just died when they quaglated <-- Noah spelling? and since it's childrens show they didn't want to show that lol. And the original BB was just the quickest to reform.

I mean if you wanna get technical, theoretically, he could just turn into the insect or animals that each species of his enemies are allergic too or susceptible to their poisons and inject them with said toxins from those creatures, alien or otherwise. Thus winning nearly every and any battle that wasn't magically or machine orientated in the long run.

That is true. Even Beast Boy wasn't fully aware of how extensive his powers are. Turning into that bigfoot thing was a surprise to him.

So we seem to have come to two possible conclusions:

1. The rest died, and only the original BB returned to human form
2. They all combined into BB's human form

How can we know for sure? We can't. It seems most likely that one of these is true, however.

His powers seem to be limited by his imagination. Like you said, he could just turn into a bad bacteria germ and make all his enemies deathly ill. He also seems surprised in the Doom Patrol flashback when he turns into a T-rex for the first time. Apparently, he's had to hone and train his powers to become better.

Actually I kinda have the answer for this

All those amoeba BB's were one and the same, not just clones but literal divisions of himself.

A good example for this would be using Naruto and his Shadow Clones, they're one and the same upon split, and return together as one (unused chakra returns to Naruto after all)

This means that BB has access to the most overpowered Anime move known to man.

And BB's power isn't just his imagination, Remember the episode when they were on Star's home-word and he turned into one of the big alien animals there? He wasn't imagining it, he just took a chance and tried it, cause even he didn't know he could do that.

Translation; Beast Boy is the most powerful and broken shifter in the world and no one, not even BB himself knows it.

What I find confusing is that Beast Boy's powers are that he turns into animals...and amoebae aren't even part of the animal kingdom.

Was this just a case of the writers not doing research? Or is BB not just limited to animals, and can change into ANY sort of lifeform?

See this is why I feel BB has been greatly underestimated by both fans and writers who view him as comic relief. He had shown to transform into not only any lifeform but anything he imagines. He had shown to transform into a hundred butterflies and in another instance split into two bulls. With this much versatility I see him being able to take on some high tier Heros. Heck he could shape shift into a Kryptonian Dragon the size of the moon and call it a day.

So the BB we know now could actually be a clone?!!!!

Kinda like a starfish where the served arm would actually regrow another body. His capabilities is limitless.
