Front Door

The front door of the Tower. It's black, medium size, and has a pretty grey door bell on the left.

Rain waited for Zack and Jay.

Zack walked out into the open air, looking around. He wasn't used to living with other people and was understandably uneasy. For the fifth time, he ran his hand along the stock of his Famas, kept slung across his back. After making sure it was there, he checked that both his Glock and combat knife were with him as well, magnetically attached to the back of his belt. His weapons seemed to comfort him a little, tough he was still uneasy.

Rain walked over. She cautiously touched the weapons on Zack's back.

"You know, you won't need those. We're just going shopping."

Jay walked down the hall feeling almost lost, her head turning this way and that as if she had never been in a building before as she walked over to the front door. In all truth, Jay had been in plenty off buildings, usually she was up to something when she was, but she had never really lived in a building since- since her parents had died. So living here, it had taken Jay completely aback. She felt like any minute now this whole thing would be swiped away from her, or that she'd wake up on the roof top of some hotel, to realize this was all some very strange dream.
She went over and stood by Rain at the door, "So, what are we waiting for?"

She turned around as Jay came out.

"Um, hope you don't mind, but Zack's coming too."

Zack was too focused on looking around to notice Rain behind him, and jumped at her touch, whirling around almost faster than the eye could track, combat knife in hand. After a second, he realized who it was and lowered the blade, grinning sheepishly. "Right... I... I shouldn't take them..." He placed his Famas and Glock on the ground reverently, but as he held out his knife, his hand shook as he fought with himself. With a sigh, he shook his head, unable to leave it behind. Instead of placing it where he usually did on the back of his belt, he slid it handle first under his jacket sleeve, where it magnetically clamped to his forearm.

Jay looked at Zack who was still carrying his weapons, "uhm, is he going to shot the other shoppers?" Jay asked sarcastically. And lets hope that he doesn't call me Birdie in public! Jay took in a deep breathe and decided that if Rain had decided to make it a good day, they'd have a good day, even if it killed a certain person.

Rain didn't flinch when Zack jumped. She knew he would be jumpy. It made her smile a bit when he put down his two weapons, even though he kept his knife. It was understandable that he couldn't leave it all behind yet.

"Thanks. It'll make the security guards less wary will less weapons on you."

She looked at the two. Hopefully they could handle themselves and not get into a fight while they were out.

"OK, how are we gonna get there?"

Zack nodded, ignoring Jay completely. He was mentally freaking out at the temporary loss of his guns and felt useless without them. They had been two of his only friends for so long, it felt like betrayal to leave them behind.

Rain saw how much Zack was freaking out. She put her hand on his shoulder.

Zack jumped again, his hand instinctively reaching for his blade, but he managed to stop himself before he drew it. He managed a shaky grin. "Where to, oh fearless leader?" He fought to keep hysteria from creeping into his voice with an impressive degree of success.

I hope, somehow, 'the feerless leader' can help them overcome their jumpiness.

She looked around.

"Well, to the city."

(ok, where do we go to shop?)

Jay noticed how jumpy Zack seemed to be, Oh boy if he goes nuts in the stores, Jay crossed her fingers in her pockets and thought for a moment.
"Ok, I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm getting wall paint. And some oil paints. And that means paintbrushes and that such is needed. So a decent and cheap craft store would be a good idea to stop at." Jay had her room planned out, but for right now, if she kept staring at white walls, she was going to end up as insane as Zack, and one insane person was enough.
