===POWERS===

Powers:
-Shapeshifting: Shay's Mercer infection has granted him the ability to shapeshift, allowing him to alter his appearance.

-Strength: The virus altered Shay's strength, giving him the ability to lift small cars and throw them at enemies.

-Claws: Claws are the most prominent anti-personnel ability. Biomass is shifted into 3-fingered, 1-thumbed, talon-like appendages that can be used to shred flesh and bone, cutting people in half in some cases.

-Endurance & Healing Factor: Chris has some impressive stamina and regenerative abilities,allowing him to heal within moments from most wounds, such as cuts, stabs, being shot, falling from very high up, or getting hit by a car, and to withstand intense damage that kills normal humans a couple times over without fatality, meaning that he could get shot in the head about 3 times, but the 4th time he's done for.


Skills:
-Speed & Agility: He possesses rather impressive agility, speed, dexterity, he can run at a speed of an olympic track star and perform parkour maneuvers difficult to those with normal physiology.


Weaknesses:
Although the Mercer Virus was designed to create super humans, it's not as powerful as first thought. He gets exhausted if he changes too much or if he uses his powers too long. There will be times when the virus malfunctions due to the experimental phase (it wasn't designed for humans yet) it was in and hurts Chris, mainly when the healing factor fails. When the factor does fail, it basically brings Chris to his knees and he begins coughing up blood, leaving him vulnerable to attack. This happens if he gets pain from getting 5 gun shots to the leg or higher. If Chris is 'cured' his powers will be impared for some amount of time, depending how fast the cure can change with the mutation of the virus. During this time, he is nothing more than a physically fit teenager. He also burns easily, if he gets hit with a fire attack, he will burn faster and easier than a normal human due to the less stable nature of his DNA. After witnessing the brutal death of his friends and family, Chris became mentally unstable, causing him to have psychotic episodes. He will put himself in harm's way to try and kill himself, wanting to protect the world from his power.

Personality: He hates his powers and thinks of himself as a freak. He has massive psychological damage due to watching his parents go insane and kill each other. He is very reclusive and tries his hardest to stay out of crowded public places. If he feels threatened he will try to kill the other person. He is extremely paranoid because he knows he's being searched for. He is suicidal and mentally unstable.


Strengths: Apart from his powers, he is rather smart and can blend into crowds very easily.


Interests/Habits: He loves playing video games and reading. He has a massive sweet tooth. He loves reading and solitude, tending to prefer the corner of a bookstore to large crowds.

History:
Chris grew up with his scientist parents in Area 52, never allowed to leave, though he spent a lot of his time in the Gym. He would always practice Parkour and running since he was 5. At the age of 15, his mother started working on a super soldier 'virus' for the US Military called the DX-1118 or 'Mercer Virus.' When the virus was deemed too risky, it was thrown away. Then, when Chris was 16, a terrorist placed the virus in the air, causing the staff and security to go insane. Chris watched as his parents inhaled the virus and just started attacking eachother, ripping each other's flesh off. For some reason, Chris' DNA was altered for the better and and it didn't cause him to go insane, instead he became what the government set out for. When the soldiers found him, they attempted to shoot him, but he just healed. Angry, Chris grew claws and started to kill the soldiers. When he was done, he found one left, a small voice saying, "Consume him," played in his mind. Chris walked over to the soldier and killed him, but then he absorbed him, gaining his memories and appearance. Chris, in his military form, walked out as more soldiers rushed in. As Chris left the base to board a chopper he saw his friends being burned alive, he then realized he not only had to leave, he had to hide. Chris then spent 1 last year mascarading as Sgt. Jack Smith before he could be retired and left to Jump City, keeping the name, but returning to his normal appearance. As DREAD started up, they captured Chris and now they have him in isolation.

So first of all, black watch isnt canon, there is no alex mercer, blackwatch, and you cant just transfer a group that unleashed a world altering event. There was no new york out break, and if a military agency kidnapped a child he wouldnt be normal at all, it would be, experiment repeatedly, go to empty room, bed if lucky. Someone doesnt go from military experiment to normal in two years.

He'll need some sort of real weakness, and were talking powers in the cbox right now so Ill comment on it later.

well, endurance and healing would be two powers but he doesn't seem to have any endurance, just healing if blades and bullets hurt him. He also needs some sort of real weakness and an explanation of how healing factor can make mistakes

I think the fact I could only think of one sad, I'll add more if need be, my mind is really gone right now.

Okay, well, seeing as not everyone out there is even going to know what star is, this cure isnt a very solid weakness. You also didnt really explain what happens when his healing messes up or how often it happens.
