"FAKE"
Entry 1. April 8, 2012. Easter.
"My dearest love, Anna--
Were you here today, I would dig my fingers through that gory chasm I carved into your flesh, that cruel and—"
Fake’s pen shuddered, the owl feather shaking off winter cold was innocent—so innocent—innocent, hellaciously mocking and. It should be soaked in crimson blood or at least be a raven’s pinion from a rotting, tainted carcass. He wiped gently streams of sweat from his forehead and wondered why he chose a candle as his lighting, as if that one, lonely emulation of light partnered with the words on his parchment more poetically. Unfiled, gleaming canine teeth drew rubies from his drawn and sorry lips.
"Anna… if I had not killed you, I think even now the scars I carved would be the delicacy, the smooth touch I long for would fill my inept mortality with more ecstasy than a mother’s warm milk to a crying, clinging infant. But… but the breath of yours I stole that night was a plunge into a icy and pristine cleansing of old and expired lungs. If we were together, I would be able to confess my sins at the feet of Virgin Mary and stand before God at Judgment’s seat and still fell myself a man, not a transgressing monster. Maybe, maybe find ‘joy’—no, that is too strong an invocation that hold no sustenance in this un-fantastic hand one has dealt to me, a mere mortal, a foolish lover who—for some reason only God knows, perhaps even questions—I write with the knowledge that you will never receive, read, touch, nor ponder a letter that begs mercy, begs forgiveness, begs deliverance from the very shade of the young woman I loved, the young woman I trusted, the young woman I whom I raised my voice, my anger, even a chainsaw to and against, struck through a roaring blade and murdered upon misunderstandings and trivial rumours. To Anna, I write this letter.
To Anna, to you, I write,
I beg,
I mourn,
And regret.

Entry 2. April 7, 2012
I found amongst my recently recovered files my late beloved, Anna’s, diary. I flipped through numerous pages, but found one to be of particular intrigue. It was undated, but had the title bearing of “To Kaiser.” It was a poem. A fragile, dainty, and peculiar poem. It had read as follows:
“Like a cyclonic drunk, rip right through me / Hurl all fabric of my nature against your walls / That needed to be broken down anyway
Grind the fact that you think that flesh simply sews itself together / Into a keystone hope that time heals all wounds / Remind me that it still leaves a pretty big scar / Even though you call it love.”
What an insightful joke. And all this time, I had thought I had been in love with a sentient being.
