===POWERS===

Powers: Able to transform from half-demon, half-human form to full demon form. Half-human form is a little faster than a normal human, when in demon form she sacrifices the speed (she goes down to a below-human speed) for strength (able to lift 2.5 tons) and a little extra durability.
In both forms she has heightened senses of hearing and smell and can use her claws to climb up the sides of cliffs/buildings.
Has a third lung-like organ that is able to store emergency oxygen supply. Digestive system is able to handle most inedible things and in some cases even make use of some of the broken down compounds, and other unusable materials can be brought back up as a solid 'hairball'-sort of thing.


Weaknesses: Can be only 'fast' or 'strong', never both at the same time.
Transformation requires a lot of energy which means she is often hungry and needs a lot of food.
Grew up in another dimension so has little to no idea of human world norms.

History: Veedra was always a bit of a mystery. No one was ever quite sure how she ended up being half-human in a world that considered the human race as a delicacy, not even her mother. Originally born looking like a smaller version of her mother as Veedra grew she began to change, first developing stronger back leg muscles to allow her to walk upright instead of on all-fours, then beginning to lose fur to reveal skin-coloured flesh underneath. By the time she was 10 (in human years) it was fairly obvious that Veedra was not a full demon and her mother had to warn her daughter to be extra careful not to get herself killed by her peers.
Veedra attended the schooling institutions of her home dimension, learning mainly about fighting, tracking and what was edible and what wasn't. Her greatest achievement during these years of learning was a first place gymnastics trophy gained for an artistic window-jumping routine. By the age of 16 she was removed from the school by her mother after the head of the school refused to guarantee Veedra's safety from being killed or eaten by her classmates.
Eventually after a year Veedra's mother managed to open a hole between the demon and human dimensions and sent her daughter through to the human world. Veedra found herself in a city, a place full of things she could break...

The nighttime of the city was alive, teeming with the nightlife of the partying residents, lit with the neon glare of the artificial lighting blazing from every corner that could be lit, the hum of the rabble livening the place to the ears. Only within a few tucked-away corners did darkness and a kind of silence prevail, and it was in one of those forgotten nooks, a little dead-end halfway down an alley that a single crash interrupted the silence. Rats scurried away from the site as a lone figure rolled onto her knees having landed upside down in a bin half filled with rubbish. She leapt over the edge and sniffed the air.
"Unfamiliar..." she muttered. "But... do I smell humans? Food?" She grinned and giggled. "Where there're humans... there're things to smash!"
She quickly raced up the side of the nearest wall and found herself on top of a building, looking out over the lit city. She kicked a satellite dish over and kicked it over the edge of the roof, marvelling at the crash it made upon landing.
