Short and simple. Is the power of magnetism taken yet?

Katarzyna wields magnetism. 0.0

Quote :
Magnetokinesis
Thanks to a quite familiar superhero lab and a highly advanced and potentially lethal weapon, S.T.A.R. Labs aided Backlash by literally equipping her with the ability to control or generate magnetism, also known as Magnetokinesis. By combining mental endurance and physical strength, Katarzyna can shape and manipulate magnetic fields that exist both naturally and artificially, most often in common metals. However, by using this ability, Kat risks creating a potentially fatal reaction between the electricity flow within her veins and the magnetic charges in her brain; the north and south (positive and negative) poles of both forces often collide and repel, causing unstable electromagnetic waves to course through Katarzyna’s body. This occurrence happens rarely, but can range in results from memory loss, paralyzation, and even unconsciousness.

Ugh...see? xD

I used the Search button and searched for "magnetism" and "magnet". Apparently those words have NEVER been used here. xD

But thanks.

That doesn't mean you can't use it, though. Just try to keep the character original. Though it'd be pretty impossible to copy Kat. ^^

Well I'm planning on having a third character and her powers are either going to be done with magnetism or force related abilities. And no, I don't mean Star Wars force. xD

I think you all shall find the ability quite interesting.

Hahahaha, true story, Shadow. Very Happy Kat is definitely one-of-a-kind. And yeah, "sharing" powers and whatnot is totally cool, I mean, there are about six (?) electrokinetic characters now? Lightning is shockingly popular. *shoots self for bad pun*

And we have to keep in mind that magnetism can't affect anything that isn't ferrous in nature (no iron, no deal.)

It can if you imbue it with a magnetic charge.

See, magnetism is slightly over powered because why? Metal is every wheres and since steel and iron are the two most commonly used metals in buildings for support structures, you can easily level a city with that kind of power. Simply because all you need to do is bend them just enough that the rest can no longer support the weight of the building in question and down goes the building. Like a house of cards. Plus, robotic characters are made of metal so technically, you can't affect them without it technically being considered an autohit/godmode. (Cause frankly, no one likes it when their character takes a hit they can't avoid.)

This is my opinion on the entire magnetism as a power thing, so take it with a grain of salt if you want.

That would be electromagnetism.

I only consider it overpowered when you can lift and pull people with it. There is no way in hell you could do that with just the iron in their blood. It would sooner just be ripped out of their bodies...

Silent Night's character has pure magnetism power. He does not use it for godmodding. Like any power, you need to give it a limit. Lifting a metal pole is acceptable. Lifting a metal building is not. How powerful the magnetism can be is the key to RP'ing with it.

There are always characters who will have a harder time fighting some opponents rather than others. Model Eleven recently was destroyed by Katarzyna's magnetism power. He was able to fight back a little, but it was really a one-sided battle. This was planned out ahead of time, and I entered Model Eleven into the battle knowing that he would die.
