Medieval/Fantasy RPG sign-up thread

Ok well I guess this is for all of you who want to join in the fantasy idea.

Story: The world is currently filled with races such as Elfs, Dwarves, Centaurs and other such creatures as well as humans, the choice of jobs is simple, whichever keeps you most alive such as archers, warriors, mages, etc. There are also dangers in this world which lurk around every corner, there are deep forests where the ogres and trolls live but also evil doers who will kill anyone at the sound of jingling money but also cities where the theifs and assassins roam as well as certain villages, towns, cities who are very perticular for who they let in, maybe a certain race did something to them in the past? Who knows. If you ere planning a quest alone you were better off finding friends for this is a perilous world. [Think thats enough of a story?]

Brief Back Story: In the small elven village of Selarrynm (Rainydale), near the elven city of Teuvel (Moonblade) there lived an elven girl with long brown hair and deep blue eyes, and yet she was ignored by her parents as they focused on her older sister more than her, her father was the mayor of the village and so Ardhoniel was left to be in the care of mainly the villagers. She was taught how to read and write by a scribe who took pity on her and stayed in the village for a while, he also taught her how to cook her own meals and she was taught hunting techniques by various hunters that passed through the village.

On her 10th birthday the stable master gave her a horse which she named Faeron (Fie-ronn) and he soon became one of her best friends. On her 11th birthday she was given her first set of bow and arrows which she was taught how to use by the Captain of the village guard Sadron (Sahd-ronn) whom she developed a crush on, but on one fateful night while her sister Aranel (Are-ahn-ell) was acting stuck up, Ardhoniel simply snapped and ended up nearly killing her sister, the next day she was pulled up in front of the village court and admitted it and so, while only 14, Ardhoniel was banished from her village, but not before stealing some of her sister’s wilderness books and stuff to help her out in the wilderness, along with leaving behind a family that didn’t care for her, but a village that did.

A few days later Sadron had gone to find her as he had developed a crush on her too, upon finding Ardhoniel the two admitted their love to one another, but it was to be short lived as one day while travelling through the woods the two encountered a group of elves trying to defeat a huge ogre wielding a tree sized club, Sadron felt he had to help his fellow elven allies and told Ardhoniel to stay hidden, as Ardhoniel watched the battle she became horrified as each of the elves were crushed by the club, each pound getting closer to Sadron, once the ogre had left she had to bury the bodies of all the elves, including her beloved Sadron.

Now 16 years old Ardhoniel has learned that life can be cruel and so has turned cold and bitter because of it, making an emotional wall to protect her inner emotions. She dislikes any kind of power who chooses who to be next to take their roll (such as her father) as she sees them as selfish and only looking after themselves and whoever they choose to take their place, but she understands princes and princesses as in many cases they don’t have a choice since a kingdom is a big responsibility rather than a small, friendly village. She wonders the great forests of the land looking after herself and dealing well with any thieves that try attacking her along with sleeping wherever she deems safe.

Abilities: He has a strong affinity to learning magic because of his bloodlines although he is not aware of it and his kingdom doesn't believe in practicing magic. He is highly educated which is significant in his kingdom because, under his uncle's rule, most citizens do not know how to read or write.

Brief Back Story: Nineteen years ago, Lord Berius, the brother of King Highmore, had left to go on a diplomatic venture to strengthen alliances between the various kingdoms of the lands with his own kingdom of Adriaca. Until that time, it has been a common belief that humans were the lone intelligence in the lands, but, on the way through Tetherly Woods, Lord Berius found a woman lying in the grass. She was dressed differently than the natives of that kingdom, so, naturally, the young lord was confused. He waited for her to wake, when he noticed that she had pointed ears and an air of magic about her. He assumed that it was simply in his head because magic wasn't real! Not in Adriaca...

When she awoke, Lord Berius instantly fell in love with her when he looked into her amazing yellow eyes that seemed to match up with the fall air around them. She seemed to be taken aback by all of his impressive armor and, as they spent the day together in the forest, she fell in love with him as well. They wanted to start their lives together, but, she was an important member of her Elven community, so, she brought Lord Berius to her father, who was the head of the forest. Instantly, the elven leader disapproved of the human because he had heard tales of the days when elves and humans lived together. Elves weren't treated right, so the head of the forest forbade the union. Distraught, the young couple ran away. The guards of the forest were hot on the trail however and they eventually caught up with the two. They found Lord Berius first and killed him, but, when they tried to lure the Elven Princess away from a cliff that she had run up, she was too upset from the death of her one true love...she jumped.

The guards, assumed she was dead and left, but, the Princess being very well practiced in most forms of magic, had survived easily. She lived on the move for the next few months, trying to find where Lord Berius was from. As the months passed, she realized that she was with child because of the one night she spent with Lord Berius. Elves weren't meant to mate with Humans, so, very quickly, the Elven Princess grew sick. She did find the kingdom, but only when she was too weak. She decided to cast one last spell that would carry the baby towards the castle in the event of her death. That night, the stars in the sky seemed dimmer in the land of Adriaca and in the forest of Tetherly. The Tetherly elders knew what had happened and mourned the true death of their beloved princess.

It seemed as if the gods began to weep because it began to rain very harshly around the castle. A knight errant that was earning his keep while guarding the front gates found the baby swaddled in tattered clothes and decided to present him to the King. The un-magical man, somehow, knew that this boy was important and decided to raise the child in the castle, as a prince. He was given a proper pure Adriacan name: Darrow.

He was raised with the finest teachers of the land and with the knight errant that found him, watching over the boy. That knight's name was, Sir Palomedes, the fair, wise and kind man that he was made him perfect for the job. Darrow learned how to use a sword better than almost any in Adriaca and, on his own, he has searched through his mind, slowly realizing the magic that truly did lay inside of him.

Today, Darrow is very popular in all the provinces and the mainland of Adriaca. He is known as a slight flirt but mostly as the noble knight that he has proved himself as. Sir Palomedes is a senior knight that is very well respected and still watches over the boy. Darrow speaks with King Highmore a lot but doesn't agree with a lot that the king decides. The king is unmarried, making Prince Darrow next in line for the crown. King Highmore is organizing a campaign to explore the lands that are unknown to the Human Kingdoms of the north. The Kingdoms of Covenant, as they have come to be known as, have all decided to support the campaign, supplying soldiers to the cause. The Kingdoms of the Covenant include, Adriaca (the largest and the head of the order), Tetherly, Missica, Jormagand and Aidelvice.

Abilities:He's fast enough to be a blur,even in his shinobi style plate armor,and strong enough to easily swing the huge,10 pound katana in one hand.He can also generate Lughtning in his lower arms and hands,allowing him to launch a Chidori style punch.He's highly accurate with the shuriken,and reasonably skilled with the sword he carries.
Breif Back Story:His father was a Lightning elemental in service of the greatest Lightning entity,and his mother came from a long line of warriors skilled in the shinobi style of combat.When they met,it was nearly instant .A few years later,along came Kuro.For 13 years,he lived with his parents,learning to use his mothers shuriken belt, and his fathers sword.One day,he decided to go out to the world,and become great.He packed his armor a elemental relative had sent to him for a birth day and the weapons he had been training with eversince he was young,and then set off.Since then he's become wellknowm, a somewhat renowned warrior and bodyguard.

Both are fine ^^ we just need a few more people, if anyone else wants to join, then we can go ahead and start the actual rping. I might add a little more to Ardhoniel's backstory lol.

Due to the fact no one else seems to be interested with this idea I've decided to start it, although we only have 3 people including me rping in it I've decided that its better than nothing, feel free to sign up still but I will be starting the main rpg thread now.
