It's a bright sunny afternoon in Jump's City Central Park. Today's Sunday, and because of the good weather a lot of parents, along with their kids, decided to spend their day in the sun. Everywhere you look you an see kids play and picknicks and BBQ's being held. Among those people is Emblem, who decided it would be nice to switch the hard and long training sessions for a day at the park. He did know he had to do something, and decided to go around the park a few times. Now that he's done with that, he sits in the shade, against this big tree, and pulls a towel and a big bottle of water out of his bag. His robe hangs out of the bag, and it's almost weird to see him in normal sporty clothes.

Emblem: Look at all these people...

It was a good day, it almost couldn't get any better. In no time, Emblem finished his bottle of water, placed the empty bottle in one of the side pcockets of his bag, and grabbed another bottle. Even he was enjoying himself more then he suspected. Seeing other people being happy apparently calmed him. A bit further, a street musician was playing. Although not as good as Xzuk from the bar, Emblem was amazed at the soul the man put in his songs, and looking at the people throwing coins in his cup, they apparently agreed.

Emblem stood up, sweeped some dust off his shorts and of his back, and stated walking a bit. He didn't even know where he was going, bu he didn't care much actually...Man the sun was nice and hot, and the small breeze made it all worthwhile, keeping the temperature perfectly at bay.

???: Look out!

Emblem looked to his left, but was too late to react. In a split second, he felt an incinerating pain in his head, and after that, a swift pain in the back as he crashed to the ground. He was quite sure that wasn't a Frisbee, and he did feel like he kept something or someone from falling as hard as he did. He wasn't very lucky, he crashed on one of the paved lanes, where people tend to go when they want to rollerskate or something like that. He also felt a burning urge to attack something or someone, for giving him this pain.

???: I'm so sorry!

Emblem opened his eyes, and looked straight into a pair of big brown eyes. He didn't understand any of it, but he couldn't stop staring really...

???: Are you alright?

Emblem snapped out of it, and looked above the eyes, seeing a skate helmet. He knew what hit him in the first place now. He instantly cursed himself for his raging urge, and for letting his guard down. He could have simply catched her if he was more on guard then he was. But after that, he scanned this girl that crashed into him. She bumped into him, and they fell on the floor, but she was all over him now, and she was quite beautiful..

Emblem: ..Well, I am now. Are you?

Girl: Thanks to you. Let's get up shall we?

Emblem scratched his head, and although he didn't know if he even wanted to get up, the girl sat and helped him to sit up too.

Girl: I'm so sorry I bumped into you. I'm not really good at this rollerskate thing, but I keep trying..

Emblem: It's no problem. I should have seen you coming though.

Emblem stood up and helped the girl. She untied her skates, saying the crash was enough practise for the day. Emblem swiped some dust off the back of her shirt, fixing her up a bit while asking if she would like something to drink. Unfortunately, that question wasn't going to get answered.

Boy: Hey you! Get your hands off my girl!

Emblem turned around and saw this big jock-type college kid standing in front of him, flanked by some friends, almost as big as the guy who yelled to him.

Girl: For the last time, I dumped you! Stop following me!

Boy: Oh yeah! That wasn't official to me! You still like me!

Girl: I would if your weren't so rude and your ego wasn't so big!

Emblem: Alright, cut this out, like I need an even bigger headache for Pete's sake! You, yeah you, the big buy, the guy who thinks he's tough and cool. It's not you, it's Emmy. And if you keep acting like that, you're playing with fire. Do you wanna get burned?

Boy: I'll teach to flirt with my girl! You lousy ropey white-haired hippie!

Emblem: Wow, insults. And clever one's at...Wouldn't that make your mother proud? Wow...white-haired hippie..Did you figure that all by yourself? At least my hair isn't dyed every three weeks and my skin isn't soaked with thousand of nourishing female lotions..

The girl next to Emblem whispered him to take it down a notch, this guy seemed to be strong. Emblem told her that he knew what he was doing. In fact, he didn't. But he wasn't going to let this guy ruin his day, even if he had to burn him to the ground.

Boy: Time to teach you a lesson! Get 'em boys!

Emblem: Try to touch me...

Thinking about the right spells, Emblem unleashed the flame inside him. He pulled the girl next to him, and created a wall of flame between him and those blokes who were trying to get to him. After this, he threw a few small heat surges their way to separate them, and ended his barrage with a raining low-level firestorm, keeping them busy with not getting burned. It wasn't long before they yielded and ran away. He even though that he saw some of them crying. When he knew they were gone, he made the flame go out, and not even one patch of grass was charred or burned...He turned to the girl next to him, who was astounded and startled at what she just saw.

Emblem: Too bad. I was just getting started. Now, I'm sorry about all this. You might think I'm a freak or something now, but I can't stand things like this...I guess..I'll leave now...Hope he doesn't bother a nice and beautiful girl like you anymore. Take care.

He turned his back, and although he easily won the battle, he felt defeated. Even in a day like this, he was reminded why he isn't able to live like others, why he is met with an invisible barrier. He didn't even get the girl's name, because boy, she sure was pretty. After walking a bit, he turned around, and the girl wasn't around. He was a fool to walk away, he didn't even let her say something...

Emblem: Hey, what's this...

Next to his robe sticking out of his sports bag, he saw a small piece of paper...with a number on it. Emblem couldn't help but to smile. They was, after all, a little light in his darkness after all, and he didn't even call her just yet. He'll see...It was a nice day in the park after all. Now it was time for some food.

Xzuk was in a gas station stocking up on his mountain dew again when he saw the man from the bar... flirting with some cute chick...

Dude's got game...

Xzuk smiled, but it faded as a group of preppy jock bastards tried to ruin the guy's pick up...

Xzuk stepped out of the station to help, but it was all over before he could even turn his veins...

Xzuk smiled and ran towards the man after the girl slipped him his number...

"Hey!! That's the second time I haven't been able to get in on the action!"

He smiled and popped open a mountain dew

Emblem: And it's the second time I get to meet you after I release some power. Doesn't this seem coincidental? You aren't trying to follow me, right?

Xzuk: No no no, I was over at the gas station when I saw you rain fire on those dudes. You showed em!

Emblem: It's not something I should be proud of, you know that? Raining fire on powerless humans, is bad enough.

Xzuk: Could be seen as self defence...

Emblem: ...Could be seen as an attempt on their lives. Now I know the police won't find me if I don't want them to find me, but if those kids decide to tell the polici that I tried to take their lives with fire...

Xzuk: Don't think so. If they will, they know you will come after them.

Emblem: So I induced some fear. that's not too bad. But it's fear for something they should not fear.

Xzuk: Now come on, loosen up you!

Emblem: By the way, before I'm gonna get an energy drink too...What was that about getting some action? Do you have powers too? Let me cut to the chase actually...Are you a vigilante who thinks he can fight, or do you protect this city with your powers? And if you are pretty sure that you want action, we can always spar...Haven't even got the chance to test myself in this city yet.I can never go all out, but these kids can't even do as much as make me work up a sweat..

Xzuk smiled and grabbed his heart jokingly..

"Gah!! You got me!! I'm the former head of Titans East. I'm working with South now."

He smiled a little as he got an idea...

"I like the sound of a spar... We can do it on the Titans island. That way no one will be hurt, and it wont blow your cover in the city."

Emblem: Think I blew most of my cover already...people talk. But that's alright, the reputation will stack aganst all odds. Anda, before you show me this Titans Island of your, whether that be main north south east or west..You finished that drink way too soon. Want to get another one? My treat?

Xzuk: How could I say no to that?

Emblem: I got to warn you though. you sure you want to spar against me? I'm not saying I'm strong, but I don't know how strong you are yet..

Xzuk: As long as you won't evaporate me and I won't shred you apart or make you deaf, we'll be fine, I guess?

Emblem: Sounds like a plan. Would like to be able to hear when this is all done...

Emblem and Xzuk went back to the Gas Station, bought a couple of Mountain Dews, and started talking about some small stuff. About Jump City, it's pro's and con's, and on most points, they could find matches in what they both said. The spar promised to be quite something..
