Valencia buzzed with excitement for several reasons, not all unfounded either. It was her eighth birthday and her parents had decided to throw an enormous birthday bash! She didn't have any normal friends, so it wasn't that kind of party. Val was excited because every single member of the Justice League and the former Teen Titans and Teen Titans East had showed up. She didn't know them all, but they came. Right now, her mother was discussing spells with Raven, while her father was attempting to draw Batman out of the shadows so that he and Beast Boy (now just the Beast) could pull a practical joke on him. Robin (now Nightwing) was trying his best to stop them from making what could possibly be the biggest mistake of their lives. Valencia watched with glee as her father succeeded then sped off, leaving Beast to suffer the consequences of Batman's wrath.
Val felt herself being lifted into the air. A loud laugh sounded from behind her as she flew high into the air only to be caught by a very large pair of arms, one of them covered in mechanics. "Uncle Cyborg!", squealed the eight year old, throwing her arms around the large man's neck. Cyborg grinned, peeling the girl off his neck. "Hey there Val! Happy Birthday! You're gonna love what I made for you!" The girl squirmed in his arms. "What is it!? What did you make me?", she asked excitedly. The man shook his head. "Nope, you gotta wait." Val adapted a sour face. "No fair." Cyborg laughed. Val smiled again, remembering something. "Put me down! I wanna show you something!" Cyborg put her down. The Flash zoomed up behind her. "Hey Valencia, are you going to show Cyborg what you've been working on?" The girl nodded excitedly. "Watch dad! I've gotten really good too!" Val sat down on the floor crossing her legs, closing her eyes, taking on an expression of extreme concentration. She took a deep breath, putting her middle finger and thumb together and resting them on her knees. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos", she intoned. She repeated this, floating gracefully into the air until she was levitating at Cyborg's chest level. Cyborg grinned at Flash who grinned back. They haad gathered a crowd. Now Batman with the punished Beast, Starfire, Raven, Green Lantern, Jinx, Aquaman, Argent, Nightwing, Superman, The Martian Manhunter, and some other assorted heroes were watching her. "Yeah! That's my girl!", shouted out Flash in the silence. Val opened her eyes. She stopped chanting, losing her concentration. "Woah!", she cried out, falling to the ground. She glared up at her sheepish father. "Oops..", he said grinning.
